- The drive was plug-and-play on a Windows 10 system; no additional drivers or installations were required. Read/write speed was as expected for DVDs, and noise wasn't unreasonable.
- The speed is appropriate for ripping and burning discs.
- Very small, reasonably fast (didn't test the speed), plug-and-play. Perfect!
- Reads pretty fast and writes dvds at a decent enough speed to keep them from being coasters. I’m satisfied.
- This drive is noisy and feels cheap. It also vibrates some so make sure it is on a stable surface.
- It has decent speeds and is a bit noisy but does the job.
- It burns DVDs at very low speeds, making it work more and taking longer when burning discs, the quality of the burnt discs is great, videos are played in any device. Reads and writes very quick.
- The read/write speed is very solid. I have had no software compatibility issues, and it's never given me a moment of trouble.
- A little bit slow and often stops to buffer while playing a DVD . But you pay for what you get I got it for a very good price so not complaining
- Bought this to burn some DVD+DL discs. Had to burn it at the LOWEST speed (3x). Any attempts to burn at any higher speeds FAILED.

- Removable cable is convenient for packing small and reducing strain on the connection.
- Works great. No issues so far. Fast delivery.
- The external drive hooked up and started on my MacBook Pro very easily.
- Price is reasonable, slim and compact and works well with a single USB cable connection.
- The drive is cheaply made, and is not sturdy, it flexes very easily when putting in a disk or removing when it sticks on the center post. It would not respond on Win10.
- Very light weight, all plastic, but works as expected. The power/connection cord is only 2 ft long. Might be short for some applications, but fine for most.
- It is also a nice looking drive to have out. And no power cord needed (only USB) makes it very portable and easy to use.
- This one writes all the different combinations of +- formats!
- It only requires 1 USB for both power & data and doesn't need drivers installed once connected. True plug and play for both Windows and Mac OS.
- I did notice that it's so light that when the tray opens, the unit moves (action - reaction). I solved that problem by gluing some cork sheeting to the bottom.
- Tray is a bit flimsy when open (duh) and the eject button takes some reverse pressure applied to the back of the drive to function.

- It makes very good quality CD's to play in my car. Plug and play was great.
- Used but as new. Easy install and works perfectly. Perfect speed and write of cd disk.
- With quick read speed, it uploaded the software I need on a daily basis. It plays music and movies flawlessly.
- Read & write speeds are reasonable. Very compact device.
- It works with my Surface Pro 3 but seems to limit it's read speed (for audio CDs) to just around 2X.
- If you just need something to read CDs or DVDs this is super easy to install and use. If you want to write DVDs or rip CDs, there is free software included that is easy to install & use
- Works great. Computer recognized it instantly without a driver. It reads data as fast as I need, though I have not tried writing to CDs or DVDs.
- Some people say that it may have less performance this way, but it is still faster than the DVD drive that came with my computer both reading from, and writing onto the disk.
- Works great for the Surface Pro 4. Plug and play no issues. Reads CDs DVDs and writes CDs and DVDs.
- A bit slow to read contents from optical disk.
