- This is exactly what I need to act as a remote bell/ release /intercom and video camera for my gate. It works well with a decent setup.
- Purchased this one as replacement for another brand of wifi video doorbell: this one actually works as advertised, and the customer support from Netvue, the manufacturer, is prompt and effective.
- The video clarity is very good for both day and night.
- This video doorbell kit comes in a nice retail style box. Setting it up is very easy. D
- The sound is strong. The video quality is good.
- The images are ok. But, the video doorbell is useless without the ability to have a conversation with the person who rang your bell.
- I couldn’t find the specs on the Skybell. Ring seemed to have slightly higher video quality in the day and slightly higher audio quality but this may be subjective.
- The Ring video doorbell is a solid choice for people looking to get into smart home technology, and provides security, peace of mind, and ease of use that is not present in many other options at this price point.
- Overall the Ring video doorbell is a solid product. I took a star off for the video and audio quality, as they are nowhere near close to what is represented in marketing materials.
- Video quality is top notch with a wide field of view
- The video quality has nothing to do with my network speed or my internet speed, period. I'm not sure whether it's the camera itself or that Ring compresses the video to the point it's nearly useless, but either way it's a problem.
- The lighted blue bell on the front is also the button for your guests to push which is confusing and will need a sign that says "Push Here".
- The installation was simple and straight forward.
- The install was pretty simple. It's powered by the transformer my doorbell use to use. I like that feature.
- This is easy to set up, with that said...I had to use the support because I'm an idiot and missed a step in the install.
- The app itself is also very poor. Navigation is clunky at best, and apparently, it only records video if the doorbell is actually pressed, otherwise detected motions are only shown as a set of pictures, arranged from last to the first frame at that
- Interface to adjust sensitivity is intuitive
- Night vision is excellent too, great picture quality in the blackest of night.
- Fast notification (1 second instead of 5 seconds when i tested the defective one)
- The motion function engages when people are walking away, not when they walk up. MANY of my videos are of people's backsides.
- Deleting old videos are a bit of a chore, especially if you have lots of activations
