- Video comes up on the app quickly, generally within a second or two. I understand this was a major complaint with v1, so I'm glad to see the improvements here.
- Decent field of view from the camera.
- Video is nice and loads no problem (even when not on WiFi) and is more than adequate enough to see everyone and everything.
- I couldn't find the specs on the Skybell. Ring seemed to have slightly higher video quality in the day and slightly higher audio quality but this may be subjective.
- Video quality is pretty good (much better than another wireless phone device I had used before)
- Daylight and nightime video quality knocks it out of the park. You also have the option to select video quality to 480p, 720p, 1080p right from the app, which will benefit those who have limited wifi signal.
- Excellent video quality and if you have a good internet connection speeds for watching the video are great.
- Nice looking unit, high quality video and images, wide angle view (I also purchased the wedge so I could capture more of the porch in front of the door, it was worth it), good audio, great night vision. I also love the fact that I don't have to pay a monthly fee to keep recordings on the cloud.
- After some research, I was down to this or the ring video doorbell. I am so glad I bought the Skybell HD. It works PERFECTLY.
- Audio and video recording worked well, and the default motion sensing settings worked well for me.
- Install and setup is relatively straight forward. I already had a separate 2.4Ghz wifi network set up, so the syncing process was a breeze.
- Filter button can help a lot clearing up the video, creating better contrast
- Fast notifications on phone when used. Works on Android and iOS devices
- The included small wire nuts/connectors are completely useless. The opening is so small that I had a tough time inserting two twisted wires into them. I ended up not using them.
- The motion sensor has some false positive issues. During the day in the morning, I tend to get a lot of false positives, probably from sun peeking in and out of clouds. Another reviewer has reported this same issue.
- The lag can be frustrating, especially when using the motion sensor.
- App is reliable and constantly being updated
- The night video recording is especially impressive, it even has color. The videos are stored on the internet.
- Now the motion sensor is not working properly, im standing in front of the doorbell it did not detect me at all even for 30 second.
- Motion detection not as good as the competition
- A hardware kit is not include, it is sold separately on their website. So while most people likely have screwdrivers, you may want to keep this in mind if you'll need more than the standard screws included.
