What customers say about "Key Specs"
Calphalon Classic 1891243 Stainless Steel Cookware Set
- Overall we love this product and can't believe we waited so long to switch from teflon to stainless steel.
- I was always looking for a change in cookware from Non stick to stainless steel. Calphalon was the best option for cookware.
- Overall this set is enough for a small family. Totally happy with the cookware & package. Comes along with a lifetime guarantee.
- Since I have gone totally to an induction range these pots and pans are ideal for this type cooking surface.
- EVERYTHING sticks. I grew up with stainless steel/aluminum pans, but never had food stick like this. The polished interior must be inferior. A real disappointment.
Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set
- I can now see that stainless steel really does cook food better than non stick.
- It was scary going from non stick to stainless steel, most of the information out there will say stainless is better, will last longer, and cook better.
- The trick is to let the skillets or sauté pan heat up completely, then add butter, swirl it around, then add whatever you're cooking. The food should not stick. Mine didn't.
- These feel like they'll last a long time, and from other reviewers it looks like they do. Take care of your pots and pans and you shouldn't have a problem.
- Set includes a lid that will fit each pan (not all at the same time, though)

What customers say about "Features"
Calphalon Classic 1891243 Stainless Steel Cookware Set
- Cleans up very easily as well. I will say that the 'Bar Keepers Friend' cleaner is a necessity though.
- Measure marks - never use because they are in metrics but if I knew the conversion rates it's a nice feature
- Cleans up great with Barkeeper scrub. Polished shine is beautiful. Not professional grade but perfect for household.
- Love the pour and steam release features. I have not mastered how to make things not stick but am willing to learn to stay away from harmful nonstick surfaces.
- Before getting them I thought the measuring lines and strainer lids sounded like a nice extra, but they've quickly become a highly appreciated feature.
Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set
- The tapered rim really does make pouring MUCH easier and practically drip free (I always have a paper towel handy regardless)
- A favorite feature is the metal lids, did not want glass lids, not comfortable with the potential of breakage.
- The handles are sturdy and made of the same stainless steel. They can be put in the over up to 500 degrees.
- These lids are one piece stampings with handles riveted on, with no place for food to get left after washing.
- Parts of the cookware is a high mirror polish (more on why I put this as a con later)
