Xiaomi YI 4K
Xiaomi YI Lite
- Small size and High portable, like a matchbox size.
- I was surprised by how small it is which is a huge plus as you would not like to carry a heavy/big camera when you are traveling.
- This camera is very handy and easy to transport.
- What I like most is how small and compact it is.
- Works well. It’s very small, so it’s easy to use in action type situations.
- Camera is delivered in the nice small box without any "attachment-gadgets" just a naked camera and it is a PLUS from my point of view (I have tons of unused gadgets from previous purchases), I just need camera.
- The package arrived perfectly on time! I was surprised by how small the packaging and the camera were.
- starsSmall and compact and easy for travelling.
- The 2 inch LCD screen is a nice size and the camera has a wide angled view of 170 degrees.
- Like everyone else has pointed out the video quality is impressive and the touch screen is very good also.
- WiFi works great, and the interface on the touchscreen is good.
- The touch screen is very intuitive and isn’t clunky.
- Camera have a full-back touch screen display with lots of settings!
- User-friendly and intuitive touch-screen interface
- Touchscreen is responsive, but not TOO responsive (like on the GoPro, which is irritating when you accidentally touch the screen, then you gotta cycle thru several screens to get back to where you were)
- Touch screen display works surprisingly well.
- Screen is very nice, easy to use (touchscreen) and sharp.
- Touch screen and the many other options like the YI camera app make this thing a breeze to set up and record.
- The quality of the photos and videos are good as 4K.
- Photos and videos look great when you see them on your PC or cell phone
- Makes great photos and videos during the day!
- This is a pretty cool little camera. I'm replacing my lost htc re with it. Pictures and videos look good. The lense and sensor are high quality, just as good as the re.
- Overall it's video quality is pretty good. Bad audio but I don't use it for audio. The 4k works but I would not use it for moving parts.
- Many different image quality settings, with 1080/60p being the best IMO. The 4K is like 20fps, so it's too choppy to be usable for me, but the 1080/60p is phenomenal
- The video (in good daylight) is comparable to the Yi 4K+, albeit it records 1080 60P at a lower maximum bit rate (31 mbps versus 60 mbps).
- Fair enough video quality (for 1080/60, didn’t tried 4K)
- Electronic Image Stabilisation makes picture jelly-like.
- White-balance changes drastically from shot to shot.
- Weird artifacts in video (I've used the same memory card on other cameras without these artifacts)
- Wifi connected. It works fantastically! I can use phone not only control the camera, but also download(or delete)all the pictures and videos.
- Compatible other brand waterproof case and accessories (needs extra purchase).
- Wide-angle lens can take more vision view. I could use it as a car recorded camera(use a car plug and charging cable).
- The main problem is the audio and video don't match which just causes a headache if you need the audio. The mic isn't that great either.
- Accessories are fairly hard to find and aren't of good quality.
- The wifi seems to be more stable as well, I don't have random disconnects anymore, and the addition of 5ghz wifi makes transferring files to my phone a breeze.
- Another welcomed addition is the ability to manualy set your ISO and Shutter. Makes taking a nightlapse simpler rather than having to deal with custom scripts and firmwares in the O.Yi.
- The battery compartment is a change I really love, I was always afraid of loosing the door when changing batteries out and about with original Yi. also the relocation of the USB port away from the battery and SD card area is great.
- EIS (or steadycam) mode really helps a lot in taking the edge off of the vibrations, I don't think I have a single action cam that matches it.
- Bad sound quality during wind or near loud music (UPD: promised to be fix in future firmwares)
- No option to start shooting after boot (you have to press main button once, than wait until camera boots and than press again to start shooting).
