The GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition Camera is 20% smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the HERO3. It also features faster built-in Wi-Fi than the HERO3. The HERO3+ is designed for recording a variety of adventure sports and it comes with a rugged housing that is waterproof down to a depth of 131' (40m). The camera captures 4K Cinema, 2.7K Cinema, 1440p and Full HD 1080p video. It can shoot 960p and 720p video as well. The camera supports both NTSC and PAL video systems, and it can record up to 120 frames per second (fps) when shooting in 720p mode. For still images, the HERO3+ supports up to 12MP photos with a burst rate of up to 30 fps.

I am amazed.... This camera is better then I thought it could be in this size. the clarity in all modes is fantastic and so easy to use.
Great camera, but battery gets warm. Would recommend it to anyone. Size and accessories are good too.
Small size fits in pockets and areas that won't allow the camera to come into harm (exterior of vehicle)
I was amazed at the small compact size of this camcorder and can travel with you by attaching it to your stroller, car, bike, or your head.
The size and waterproof case is also great for waterpark and beach trips.

Otherwise the camera itself is identical in size to the old one, so everything is interchangeable.
Bought this cool GoPro Hero 3+ a few days ago, and really like the size and included backs, mounts etc.
Love the improved battery life and smaller size. Haven't noticed blurriness that others have experienced, but perhaps because I'm only focusing within the flight deck. Would recommend to others!
We've watched their ads and have longed to buy one for a few years. The smaller size is incredible and super light! So glad we bit the bullet!

Also I would have loved to have a screen on it so I could see what I was doing or know if I needed to retake a shot / video. So if you have the extra cash I would get the gopro with the screen.
This was a great buy, and the touch screen backpack makes it even better.
Only thing that is a bit of a gamble, is that without the LCD screen, you can't really see what you are shooting so it is 'point and hope'. Even so, with its natural wide angle lens, we never missed a shot.
Overall, I do really, really like it, I just wish it was better in lower light and came with an LCD screen.
Was excited to get this, but found the lack of a screen made it hard to use.

Great camera. For those buying it now, I would go with the Hero 4 Silver (I believe) since it has an screen for viewing what you record.
Love the on screen real time view on my phone.
The reason why I live the 4 better is because of the built in LCD touch screen and the low light performance.
I do have big problems actually seeing the LCD screen & settings icons, I guess due to being a retired senior and have to get a magnifying glass to see LCD screen when changing settings.
The main problem with this camera is that it doesn't have a back facing LCD screen. I used it for underwater filming and I could never properly frame a shot.

The pictures with the edition I purchased are good, not great, given the 5 MP capability and the close-in build for pictures (I didn't but this to take long-range pictures). However, the video in HD (and this should be changes to 1080 as the default is a bit less) is absolutely gorgeous.
Does exactly what I want. Gets a fish lens look on some of the pics but has great video.
Takes great underwater pics and videos and kinda neat wide angle above water pics too!
Very rugged, great images, highly versatile. Can be very finicky to work with.
I was a little disappointed in the sound while it's in waterproof housing and also with the image quality (as a photographer).

It's a great camera and I'm happy that I've purchased it. The only thing is the graphics sometimes get a little bad but other then that its good.

Now, me personally this type of camera does fit the bill in terms of pricing, reliability, and features. While I could go for the higher upgraded versions, this just fits the bill.
It has some awesome features. My son likes to ride dirt bikes, so he has big plans for some killa footage. As he would say!!!
I found this option to be incredibly useful when capturing and checking video's while away from a computer. This feature is a necessity.
The only reason I bought this was to send into space, but the WiFi feature is awesome and I can use it for a bunch of things. Haven't really tried it in low light, but I'm not holding too much hope out for that.
The battery life is very bad too. If you're using the wifi feature, expect only three or four hours before you need a full charge. Without any wifi, expect five.

If you plan on using this in the water, I highly recommend purchasing a handle mount that floats. I purchased one at Walmart for about $10 and it was a different brand but it worked.
The photos I took above water are fine as long as you have good light conditions. In poor light conditions, not awesome.
Wedding gift, son is getting married in the summer, will be taking this to the honey moon resort. They're excited to use it under water.
I used this GoPro for the first time last week and I was very excited. However, I was a bit disappointed when my batteries only lasted about 1 hour each.
Works as expected, however I continually have some connectivity issues with the wifi connection. It keeps disconnecting and I have to reconnect. Not sure if I got a faulty refurbished GoPro or if it's just the model.
