- Very good looking drive, strong, capacious and well built. It's as tall as an iPhone 5S, but about 50% wider.
- So far I have had no real issues with this unit. Full of space and high speed.
- Massive Amount of Storage Space. Highly recommend.
- One of the biggest strengths of this reasonably small portable hard drive is that it has a gargantuan amount of space.
- It's a very nice looking item and serves its basic purpose as an external hard drive. It transfers files quickly and has plenty of space.
- I do like the compact size of the device and the fact that i can use this as wireless storage for my devices.
- Even though it is a little heavier than I expected, its compact size fits neatly in the camera bag that I carry for those outings and provides a huge amount of immediate photo storage.
- Overall this is an amazing idea for a solution for traveling photographers.
- It’s thin. Not as thin as typical portable hard drives, but with the wireless function and auto backup options - it’s worth the size.
- Would like to see SSD and more compact design in the future.
- Loading files is drag and drop simple. This is great for time saving.
- In remote environments you can connect your tablet, phone or computer to the device directly.
- You can connect the device to an existing wifi connection and have access to all of your files in the device while maintaining internet connectivity.
- The idea of a drive I could use while being crammed on a plane wirelessly was ideal.
- The official Seagate Media App is awful. It's a nightmare to use if you have a large media collection.
- If you hate wires and shoot a lot of videos on the go, are an avid traveler or a photographer, this will be your savior when your card runs out of space or you want to view your footage but your camera is out of juice.
- This a fantastic portable drive. Allows to back-up from camera on the field.
- I often travel to obscure and remote places overseas with no or limited wi-fi.
- The drive was bought so that I could backup my landscape and wildlife photographs daily during my trips (multiple days for each trip).
- My MacBook does not recognize it, or if it does, it takes hours to transfer a few files.
- Can access device and all files via Mobile App.
- Ok, it says I can use a mobile device to set it up. I downloaded the app in my iPad and started it up.
- It comes with a USB 3.0 cable and a small power brick (about the size of a 12w iPad charger).
- Connection speeds to this device via USB are as fast as my other USB 3.0 devices from my new MB pro with SSD.
- The instructions that can with the unit were on a small card, I had to search the web for better instructions.
- Battery life and capacity grade for extended trips.
- The built in battery ensure that one does not always require the drive to be connect to a power source.
