- This is all you could want or expect from an electric smoker. I've been extremely pleased with the results. So far, I've done ribs, brisket, whole chickens, chicken legs, chicken wings, peppers and corn in this thing, all with great results.
- Operation is a breeze, although the electric readout is impossible to see in direct sunlight. If you're in a covered area or come equipped with a parasol then it's no problem.
- My husband has a very large charcoal fed smoker that we love but he has been wanting an electric one for cold weather so he doesn’t have to be outside tending to it and keeping it up to temp.
- Set the temp and time, add the wood chips and walk away. Takes away the need to add more charcoal and tend the fire to keep a consistent temperature.
- This is my second unit and I got it because I noticed the smoking area was redesigned. The smoking of the older unit left a lot to be desired and I thought the new design would be better. I was wrong!
- Other than that, it has worked great and has quite a bit of space. The four shelves really give you a lot of area for the food.
- The smoker works very well, much better than my old kettle smoker.
- It's been a dream of mine to smoke my own meats and cheeses. I wanted an electric smoker because I didn't want to hassle with refilling the charcoal grate all the time.
- Took less time to get up to set temp than I expected, maybe 30 to 40 minutes. Propane takes that long or longer. This smoker is well insulated, and old propane smoker is not insulated at all.
- Cabinet is only aprox 3 or 4 deg F lower than third-party sensor, allowing both to settle each time. That's pretty good.
- Well constructed, but it would not heat up after the initial seasoning. Chips did not burn either.
- Received the unit in a very timely manner. Quality construction. All parts included in the box.
- Not had it long but seems to be of excellent construction and works well.
- My other concerns are "quality of construction', or rather the lack of quality.
- Also, the drain tube in the rear for grease and whatever is bent slightly upwards; I'm not sure what I'll do about that. However, the rest of the smoker seems well constructed.
- Insulated construction allows touching outside when running without burning yourself
- Love the features and sturdy construction. Would highly recommend to anyone.
- This product is very solid in terms of construction.
- Overall, the product is constructed well and appears to be very durable.
- This smoker is very cheaply built. I had to really work to get the bolts to line up when putting it together.
- Very easy to use and a breeze to clean up. very very happy with the digital feature....
- Everything from ribs to salmon to jerky. It does what it says and smokes effectively. Can’t say it’s overbuilt or dripping w features - it’s pretty basic.
- Love the controls that allow one to set temperature and smoking time and walk away.
- One might think that having great temperature control would be a benefit, but not in this case. This "smoker" is designed to function by heating wood chips placed over its heating element.
- Only complaint is that the digital controls are hard to read when in direct sunlight but this is a minor inconvenience.
- The racks inside are adjustable. I recommend taking the ones you aren't using out, so you don't have to clean them after using them. They scrub up pretty easily with soapy water.
- There is a built in meat thermometer that works very accurately. With the included remote, you can check on your meat temps without ever leaving your chair. We've had no problems with the remote.
- The wood chip tray works pretty easily. It does not hold a very large quantity at a time.
- The window, light, and meat thermometer are nice features but if I were to buy another unit I'd look at just the basic design, including the analog temp control.
- All of the features I liked are on this smoker (side loading, uses wood chips, insulated and self controlled).
