General Specifications
About the Product
The WaterRower A1 Home Rowing Machine is a water resistance rowing machine that uses paddles suspended in a tank of water to create resistance. The “variability” of resistance on the A1 Home Rowing Machine functions very similarly to how resistance on an air resistance rower operates.
The dependable performance of our Model D RowErg has made it the best selling indoor rower in the world. Recognized by competitive rowers as the standard for indoor training, the Model D delivers an effective cardiovascular workout that will increase your fitness level and tone your physique.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
WaterRower A1 Home Rowing Machine
  • The small footprint of this rower was one of the main reasons I bought it.
  • The action is very smooth and comfortable and you can adjust the resistance by adding more or less water to the drum between the clearing defined limits.
  • The main things I like about this rowing machine are the fact it uses water so you get a natural resistance when rowing.
  • I recommend this to just about anyone, as you create the resistance, so you only get out of it what you put in.
  • The only other issue is that you can not adjust the level of resistance without adjusting the volume water in the tank.
Concept2 Model D Indoor Rowing Machine
  • 10 levels of air resistance that actually feel like 10 different difficulty settings.
  • Relatively quiet. It is mechanical so it does make noise but I can easily watch a show or hear my music.
  • There is a system to adjust the fan blades to mimic different types of rows (heavy boat, light weight boat, etc.).
  • The action is smooth, it’s quiet, easily adjus adjustable for intensity and resistance.
  • I workout in a day and after a month the resistance has noticeably weakened.

What customers say about "Design"
WaterRower A1 Home Rowing Machine
  • It is easy to store and looks more like a piece of furniture when not in use.
  • Most models made in wood and would fit in quite unobtrusively in your living room.
  • Filling/draining the water is slow having to use the supplied pump. At the full water level it's tricky to move the unit w/o spilling water.
  • To store it upright you need to drain it. These a problem to me as it take a lot of time.
  • Foot straps are of a moulded plastic that catch when trying to get your shoe in or out and the sharp edges make it impossible to row bare foot.
Concept2 Model D Indoor Rowing Machine
  • Sturdy. Can handle up to 500 pounds when other rowers max out at 250 or 300.
  • Smooth rowing action, with durable chain-driven mechanism.
  • Very convenient and easy to store. I fold it down each time for storage it takes 1 minute.
  • The engineers really thought this design out and seem to have used the appropriate materials in all of the right places.
  • The seat is a little tough on my back after 30 minutes but not unbearable.

What customers say about "Features"
WaterRower A1 Home Rowing Machine
  • The built in computer is easy to use and gives me all the information I require.
  • Very quiet. Pretty much the only noise is the sloshing of the water in the tank.
  • Monitor can be programmed for different measurements and countdowns. It's simplifies workout.
  • It's quiet enough to row and watch TV with, I have found it mentally refreshing to just focus on the rowing without background noise.
  • The monitor has display which is hard to see in bright sunlight and impossible to see in dim lighting.
Concept2 Model D Indoor Rowing Machine
  • Adjustable, easily read, backlit display, with large numbers.
  • The PM5 monitor can be pivoted to many positions, allowing the athlete to adjust height and angle.
  • Advanced performance tracking console, covering all the important values, including games and the possibility to compete with others.
  • The air resistance fan is the loudest thing. This makes it difficult to watch something while training.
  • Monitor arm is plastic and therefore not particularly durable. And a week later he stopped tightly holding my gadget.
