If you are looking for a router that prioritizes streaming capability and has dual band connection this is the one.
I bought this on the recommendation of many reviews from multiple sources. It was easy to set up. It has good range and so far reliable.
The range is a solid 100 feet further out into the yard as well.
Want fast speeds, but don't want to feel like you have to take out a loan to do so? This is the router for you. Let's of customizable settings, and haven't had any problems yet.
It says high range but it still doesn't cover my upstairs, this is for a one story house and u have to be in the next room to get good quality

Overall, this is a great router. I tested it on Xbox and it runs flawlessly. Same goes with the other devices such as the Computer, and phones. They all are streaming HD video with no problem. I have fast internet as is, and adding this router into my setup just makes it much better.
Since installing the ASUS router we have been experiencing nothing short of a miracle! No more buffering and very smooth video playback without any "ghosting" and/or pixeling of the images.
This ASUS unit has the advantage that the 3 external antennaes work with the 2.4 GHtz signals, which on most of the "latest" dual band units the external antennae only work with the 5 GHtz and do not help aim the 2.4 signals like this one does.
working very well for my needs. I haven’t tried the ‘guest’ feature or totally explored the unit yet, but all my wireless items are connecting now and doing so simultaneously! Installation was relatively easy, helps if you have a clue about how Wi-Fi is set up in the first place!
This router does exactly what I wanted it to do. Over 100 mbs wireless and same goes for being hard wired. It is pretty much plug and play.

The 3 antenna helps with reception through the house.
After purchasing and installing, I can confirm that this handles all my devices now with ease. The router/network administration software is superb.
This router is really fast and reliable network. It has a high range of network that covered my entire house.
Price was good, however compared to my last router this Asus is extremely hard to install.
IPhone ios apps for this router is not working, can not connect. Same issue have many other users. No fix after 1 month of purchase

I purchased this a month ago & couldn't be happier! I have about 3200 sq. feet on 2 floors & have no dead spots anywhere, even downstairs which has metal studs!
I have this in the basement of a 2 story house, and my Xbox One game on the main floor gets 90% signal at 5Ghz, and sees the maxed out speeds of 60 Mbps from my service provider with no loss. Great for online gaming, HD streaming, and connecting multiple devices at once.
Love it, excellent signal coverage, very minimal wireless speed loss at range. I went through 2 other routers before I found this one
Handles the whole household at same time (as long as you have high speed internet). Son games, daughter on Youtube & parents watching Netflix all at same time.
Previously I could barely get 720P without constant buffering. I can now sustain a consistent stream at the highest setting (1080P @ 20MB/s) and with multiple simultaneous streamings.

My old router was hacked and didn't perform well with all the users in the house. This Asus are the best. All the bandwidth we want, no reduced signals, and feel very secure with their firewall.
Very fast and secure router with many great options. You can even monitor from remote devices.
Not the easiest router to set-up but the performance has been excellent and the internet security features were highly recommended by IT professionals.
This router is Fast And more Secure than NetGear, no drop out! very nice router.
Love the router and how tight it is with security.

So many options for security along with the dual band its just an awesome router for the price.
It has all the other features that I require like MAC address filtering, non-broadcast of SSID, and other good security features.
Another thing that I like about this router is that the setup interface is very easy to understand and use. Controlling security settings, or some of the more advanced features are pretty easy.
Network security for the USB drives/devices. On other routers that I've used that have the USB option, there is only guest access, I was able to set up user security on my drives with mixed no access/read access/read-write access. Configuration was painless and security works great.
The router was easy to set up and security protocols are simple to activate. I would highly recommend this product if you're looking for a reliable router.
The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because I would have liked the option to pick my encryption type (tkip or aes) but only AES is available.
