- The device enables smooth and precise mouse pointer movements.
- The scrollring on the trackball is precise, zippy and easy to use.
- This mouse has amazing precision, the scroll ring is also great and it just feels great in my (average sized) hands.
- It tracks movements in the ball optically, and so does not end up sticking the way the old designs did. And since it's a trackball instead of a mouse, it is always in the same place when I reach for it.
- This one is optical, and feels even smoother than my old one.
- The small trackball is very responsive although a bit less precision than from most larger trackballs.
- Very smooth and precise, and when it does get gummed up, it's literally ten seconds to pop the ball out, wipe off the guides, and pop it back in for another few weeks of perfect operation.
- It can be extrememely precise, you can ajust how much (... it will require some practice if you put it too sensible), is incredible durable, almost free of maintenance, has the best price in it's category.
- Being an optical ball, it is extremely accurate and reliable.
- It doesn't feel as precise as a thumb ball for some reason and it takes time to learn how to use.
- I have severe shoulder and neck pain every time I operate an optical mouse.
- The ball is smaller than I expected, but it's super smooth and appropriate for the size of the trackpad.
- I like the size and ease of this model and hope it lasts a while.
- The scrolling and overall size are good.
- The ball also has enough weight where you can fling the cursor around the screen when needed.
- The downsides I found with this trackball were the extremely light weight of the device (I found I was accidentally moving it during usage), and the overall cheap feel of the unit.
- This track ball is just the right size for controlling pointers
- My first trackball was the size of a Que ball and I loved it. This is the next best thing.
- Size of product is perfect- very comfortable.
- The size and position of the ball makes it easy to use with my mild arthritis.
- It is also built with some weight behind it so it never slips around on the desk.
- Cord length is long enough to put this where you need it.
- These wires are crazy long so not ideal for laptop use.
- The only downside is the cord. The cord is quite short, and limits where I can place the mouse in relation to the tower; I ended up buying a USB hub just to get some extra length.
- Plus the cord isn't that long. Sometimes that's nice but other times it's not. Still though, wireless for the win.
- It was pretty impossible to find anywhere to do things that did not cause interference from the cord.
- A wired mouse is kind of old school. But it works for me because my kids don't steal it. And I do a lot of design work and it really helps my wrist not be sore by the end of the day.
- I like this mouse a lot. I prefer a corded one, no battery worries. It's very responsive.
- Cord is conveniently long.
- It does have a wire so if you are looking for wireless this isn't the one for toy.
- The wire is very long and gets in the way. It does have a sleek design it is just not for me.
- Good quality material. Haven't noticed any heavy wear and tear.
- I didn't like the extension to the wrist rest.
- Would love to see this design revisited with higher-quality materials.
- I was surprised to see how cheap the quality of materials Kensington now uses to make this product; it's a cheap plastic hollow sound around the base of the palm area.
- It doesn't stay attached very well. It also gets dirty very quickly, given the rubberized material.
- This particular mouse come with four programmable buttons. Really it's just two if you keep the standard right and left click.
- The programmable buttons can be used for typical mouse functions but also for opening or switching applications, controlling media stored in your hardware.
- I also feel that the area of contact where the thumb wraps around and the palm cups the mouse should be textured to prevent a clammy contact with the plastic.
- While the previous versions of this trackball felt solid and smooth, this one felt very flimsy and plastic.
- If it had a pebbled finish that allowed some bit of air between your hand and the plastic this would not be a problem.
