- This computer is fast and capable especially with the i7u processor with hyperthreading. It can do pretty much anything you want and fast!
- Best laptop I have owned. Better suited for productivity than a surface pro 4 or a Macbook pro 13.
- The I7 Gen 7 processor is advertised anywhere from 2.9-3.5GHz. Windows System information tells me it is actually 2.7GHZ. This is screaming fast!
- These laptops are very well built and are loaded with a powerful processor and enough RAM to handle almost anything. I've been using one of these systems and absolutely love it.
- It's lightweight, extremely fast and handles anything I throw at it.
- Occasionally gets a bit hot
- This is the best laptop ever ! I have owned over 40 laptops and tablets and this one is the best ever.
- The overall performance is excellent. Except that some programs like illustrator are not very compatible with the super high screen solution.
- Good performance from fifth-generation Intel Core i7 processor.
- The laptop takes 14 seconds from the time you hit the “On” button until you can start working. This is due to Windows 10 and a Toshiba Solid State Drive. The drive has 512 GB of storage – plenty for a laptop!
- The 16 GB of memory was advertised as 1866 GHz, but is reported as 2133GHz. This is fairly meaningless, however – the amount of RAM is far more important – and 16 GB is plenty to do anything you could want to do with a computer.
- I was worried from the comments on the computer with its issues but assumed if I got i7 and best ram that there wouldn't be any issues. By the second week the computer couldn't even open without crashing and I was undable to do anything. Sent it back with no issues and Amazon did a great job
- Faster then any other computer I ever had love it.
- Really great computer !!! Enough said... Very light... Fast !! Everything you want in a light fast Windows computer.
- Lenovo should have configured the i7 processor models (the fastest available) with 16GB, NOT 8GB of RAM.
- The only thing I don't like about this laptop is the fact that there are NO SD Card!
- Windows 10 is a great operating system. Those who complain about it just simply don't like change and will complain about MacOS Sierra as well. There are significant performance improvements in Windows 10 which bring startup speeds to less than 10 seconds from a complete shut down.
- The small bezels make the laptop's screen look much bigger than 12.5" and is aesthetically pleasing
- The battery can last up to 14 hours which is amazing if you don't want to bring the charger around
- The battery takes less than an hour and a half to fully charge
- The quality of pictures is fantastic, great for movies/videos
- Camera is on the bottom left of the display
- No fingerprint sensor
- Lenovo support is great also. It came with Windows 8 with an option to downgrade to Windows 7 Pro (which I intended to do all along).
- This computer is fantastic. It's fast, light and great to work on. I love the keyboard and how it feels when you type. The screen is the high quality touch screen.
- Track point and touchpad are perfect like the old IBM well done! Fast quiet cooler than any I have ever owned if you need a bunch of connections buy the expansion I don't need them.
- The touchpad is also very accurate and it had 3 hard buttons that is very useful. I'm glad they brought it back in the 2015 model.
Dell XPS 13 (9360-3591SLV)
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon
- Has all ports for normal productivity and beats in price all the new refreshed Macbook pro's.
- I am glad I purchased last year's model, as the extra USB port and the standard-sized SD card slot are pretty nice bonuses.
- NOTE THAT THE SSD PORT ONLY SUPPORTS SATA (so if you want to buy 128gb and upgrade the ssd, make sure you have a sata ssd)
- They went with a lightening port for HDMI instead of a regular HDMI port so you have to use an adapter for HDMI output, which is intermittent at best, or buy a lightening to HDMI cable
- Connection speed wireless is blazing.
- Ethernet requires dongle.
