- It sharpens all blades very well but it has 1 flaw. When you pull a knife through and get to the end, the blade digs into the plastic.
- I have sharpened all our kitchen knives, sports knives, a very small pocket knife, and work knives. It worked on every single one of them.
- I can now say, I can sharpen a knife to have a razor edge. No brag just fact!
- This sharpener works fast, it sharpens every type of knife that I have (chef's knives, hunting knives, pocket knives) and does an amazing job in a short time.
- My knives sharpen to a high degree with ease and to the point I have to be careful not to cut myself.......again!
- I just sharpened 10 of my knives to razor sharp edges in hardly any time at all. It worked on a dollar store pairing knife and a 1955 Sabatier K Chefs Knife equally well.
- Man, this thing simply just works. My knives got REALLY sharp. I was able to find the infamous burr (which I never got with the other methods, even after lighting a few candles to the knife goddess).
- This product overall is easy to use and provides a satisfactory cutting edge in a short period of time.
- This device has rescued all my dull knife. Especially my Shun knife which I have tried to sharpen on a sharpen stone but never has reached my expectation.
- I love this sharpener. I own a mix of moderate to very expensive knives with different bevels. I have used the first stage of this 3-stage sharpener to convert my Western cutlery to 15 degrees rot match my Asian knives.
- The Santoku, paring, and filleting knives got the 15 degree edge for fine chopping and slicing of lighter veggies and boneless meats. I can butterfly a chicken breast in one smooth motion now - it's crazy!
- Great unit, and easy to use for Sharpening both 15 degree and 20 degree knives. The included instruction manual clearly explains how to get the sharpest blades.
- The honing feature keeps edges sharp.
- Perfectly restores the edges on my high quality Shun knives, which use the 15 degree angle. And having the 20 degree angle option lets me sharpen my other spares and knives for friends.
- The advanced mode of using either 15 or 20 degree sharpening is great for me since I have one of those oriental knives that want 15 degrees.
- This sharpener for 15 degree edges... not the European 20 degree edges, unless you want to convert them to 15 degree, in which it is very capable of doing it.
- You need to know when to use slot 1 and when NOT to. You need to have a good burr on slot 2, before proceeding to slot 3, or you won’t have a sharp knife.
- This sharpener, if you follow the instructions, will truly make your knives SHARP. Sharp enough that I've cut my hand three times because I'm not used to having to be as careful as you have to be with REALLY sharp knives.
- No blade damage there with the higher-quality steel -- just a wicked-sharp knife.
- These edges are so sharp, though I thought I was being extremely careful, I didn't know I was cutting myself.
- Has so many features that the cheaper models do not have. Can sharpen, and does, almost any knife (not for ceramic or scissors.) Does a great job and easy to use as well. Go glad I got it.
- I'm not quite convinced these work as well as the hand models that are angle guided but they're pretty close.
- Much slower to sharpen than expected but possibly because knives have been hand sharpened and angles were wrong.
- No hand cramps, no mess, no clogging, and extremely quiet to operate.
- he only suggestions/recommendation I have is to purchase a decent hand-held honer, which is always a must no matter what type of sharpener you might have.
- Great attention to detail features include a trap door to remove shavings from internal compartment, and the ability to renew/refresh the stropping/polishing discs when needed (not very often).
- I feel a good quality steel is necessary to touch up the knife edge even though it has the stropping feature for touch ups.
- This is one of the best countertop, home-use kitchen knife sharpeners I've used, and I would recommend it.
