- I used the chef's knife to neatly and thinly slice partially frozen boneless chicken breasts to make chicken stir-fry for dinner.
- The serrated utility knife is great for things like tomatoes if you're not comfortable using the chef's knife. It's a great picnic knife too if you get a little sheath or wrap it snugly in a napkin or newspaper.
- This set I gave as a gift to my daughter. I have had a set for years and have been the best knives I ever had. I use mine everyday and they continue to preform.
- This is a great knife set and this was the best price I could find. When select a set double check which knives are included in the piece count, don't go by picture. Enjoy
- Well, here it is over 35 years later - my wife and I have gotten old, our kids have grown and moved on and the Henckel knives are still as good as the day we bought them.
- This set was everything I expected and was as advertised I only need to say some of he knives are serrated which was unclear on the description, but I bought the set for my guy who is an excellent chef, and he is pleased beyond my expectations with the product.
- This particular set is a great mix of different sizes and shapes of knives.
- The blades on this have held up well and are still razor sharp after using them for about 14 months.
- Though some may scoff that the steak knives don't bear the same "pro s" designation as the rest of the set, they perform very well and have garnered compliments/comments from dinner guests.
- These are the real deal Henckel knives. I love them! Perfect balance and fit the hand just right. Very sharp! These are very good knives!
- The knife literally cut through the partially frozen chicken breast like it was going through soft butter. The sliced chicken was almost paper-thin thanks to the sharp well-balanced knife.
- Well balanced handles. The handles fit like a glove in my hand when I am cutting up food.
- Dishwasher safe knives but hand washing is recommended. I will probably wash my Henckels knives by hand.
- I much prefer the look and feel of the Pro S - - my personal preference is that the full tang riveted handle makes the knife set appear to be of higher quality (non-plastic handle).
- The four-star handles are mid-size poly; the five-star handles are similar but a bit larger and more ergonomic. Henckels also makes a "classic" handle, both in poly and wood, and also an all-metal handle.
- Regardless, the pro s knives are very sharp, high quality and exactly what i'd expect from the line.
- There's not a bad thing I can say about them. Just be sure to wash them by hand and treat them like the investment that they are.
- The blades on this have held up well and are still razor sharp after using them for about 14 months.
- The block looks great on the counter and keeps everything in reach while protecting the cutting edge of the blades.
- The block was rather generic with slots way, WAY bigger than the knives and the 2 spare slots came in handy for a couple of my other Henckel knives not part of this set.
