- They are better then some of the sets that I paid $1,500.00 or more for. They are made with a mix of Garman high carbon surgical steel and titanium. I always trusted the KitchenAid brand.
- I'm very happy with the knives thus far. I bought the set of 7 because it had empty slots for my few henckel knives. Keep in mind the block counts as one of the pieces, so it's 6 knifes and a block.
- These knives rock. Super sharp, very high quality, and have a good balance in the hand. Replaced a set of knives purchased for $300 from Bed Bath & Beyond a few years ago. Wish I would have bought these a long time ago.
- Absolutely top of the line quality, this is no economy set of knives. The "shing" of the German made steel blade when you unsheathe from base sings like a sword.
- It looks gorgeous, the knives are satisfyingly sharp. However, the scissors came apart after just a few uses.
- Utility and Paring performed poorly, cutting paper ... feels like a beginner's bow on violin strings with difficulties. Could it be poor blade edge finishing or could these small knives be made from steel of lesser grade?
- Good weight, solid blade that stays sharp and cuts smooth, wasy to resharpen.
- Incredibly sharp. Seem to be very durable. Hold their edges.
- The knives work great and we never had any issues with the steak knives or anything. I need to learn how to use the sharpener tool as some of the more commonly used knives are beginning to dull after almost a year of use.
- Excellent knife set. I cook a lot. I have a house with four people, all of whom I cook for on a daily basis. I use these knives daily, and I haven't sharpened them in a year (although I will do that very soon).
- Started rusting after just a few months. Would not recommend.
- Steak knives are straight edged and not serrated.
- Heavy cast iron, does not move, very sharp, diamond hone, a lot for the money, maybe not professional grade but a nice set for normal people. Added a few knifes to the blank slots also. Looks fantastic.
- The knives are stored in a metal enameled base with a decorative stainless rim. The color is Candy Apple Red or a vintage metallic Christmas red, just beautiful! The knives are stored down in a butcher block wood, and there are four additional slots to add knives to your collection.
- The handles are synthetic ebony wood with classy stainless Kitchen Aid inserts.
- They precision slice and chop through cabbage, carrots, onions and paring knife makes quick work of radishes, etc. We've not had any staining or spotting issues on the blades or scissors! 5 Stars!
- Weight of Diamond Grit sharpening steel gives a sturdy feeling for knife honing. Beautiful bolster keeps fingers safe from sharp blade.
- They look beautiful and are are tough as nails. The block is heavy and the knifes are all solid. They wipe clean with ease. Be sure to dry them before replacing therm in the block even though the slots have drainage holes on the base.
- No broken handle issues nor discoloration on the knife blades here. All in all a good set for the $.
- Really like these. They're very sharp and clean up pretty easily in the sink or dishwasher. The wood block is also nice.
- These knives always get washed in a dishwasher (which made me so angry), and they look the same as the day I bought them. No rust, the rubber handles are intact, the blades are sturdy and keep an edge very nicely.
- The handle is a seperate piece from the blade and very easily seperates from the blade entirely. I thought the handle and blade were one piece with a rubberized silicone grip around the outside, but I guess I was wrong and I'm less than pleased to learn so.
- The only downside is it takes up a bit of counter space but that's because you a good amount of pieces.
