- Coming from that previous projector to this one, the higher 1080P resolution, colors, and contrast ratio is more than enough to keep me happy. Unless you are sitting less than 6 feet from the screen, you won't miss the detail that a 4K version offers.
- Plenty bright even for daytime use. Resolution and focus are top notch.
- I un-boxed the projector, plugged it in, turned it on, then focused the picture. The brightness, color and contrast were spot on right out of the box!
- Very good projector for the money, very bright, native 1080P, good color.
- The only criticism I see a little bit of a rainbow artifact every now and then on high contrast scenes.
- It's advertised as making the image look as good as a 4k projection.
- This is a great projector for the money. I use it in my basement rec room to project on to a 100" screen. I thought I would only use it occasionally but I find myself watching it all the time.
- I was worried about the sharpness of lines on difficult to render features, but the 1080p projection looks fantastic.
- Really crystal clear , sharp image with good balanced color. Blacks r really dark, nice bright even with ambient light , same as all other reviewers said, I didn't projected this on a screen yet, with white wall picture looks gud so far, but the worst yet to come the rainbow effect
- I am projecting on the wall and I have watched the HD videos in the afternoon when there was ambient light in the room. Still the image showed up clear and bright. I did not notice any rainbow effect while watching the videos.
- I have the projector at a distance of 15.5 feet and the picture is very crisp and event during the day you able to at least make out what you are seeing.
- The colors are stunning & the image is very sharp as well.
- It's projection is great quality. Crisp, colorful and bright images with fairly deep blacks. It also offers a range of customization settings.
- Image looks great even with all the lighting turned on in my living room. Its a bit washed out in direct daylight, but that is to be expected.
- This is an awesome projector. The color is great, the image is bright and sharp and setup was easy.
- My screen is about 140" diagonal and is projected on a beige textured wall currently and it looks terrific. I will purchase screen cloth and frame it on the wall. I am anxious to see the improvement on already more than acceptable image.
- After tons of research I decided this was the projector for me. It requires a specific throw distance for screen size and height placement since neither is very adjustable.
- The image is simply amazing! If you are replacing a projector from a different manufacturer, be sure that your throw distances will work for your room, especially if it will be ceiling mounted.
- The throw is a tad farther than the Epson HD740 that it replaced to get same 80 inch picture.
- This is not short throw by an means. Zoom will not help. Plan for at least 14 feet of mounting for 120 image, since the eye of projector will stick beyond the mounting location.
- 3D is great! Watched the go-to movies (Avatar 3D, Gravity, LEGO Batman, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs etc.) to test it out. PS3/PS4 gaming...excellent. (Played some Battlefield, Call of Duty) it was a nice experience!
- This projector replaced my older unit. I love the picture quality and especially 3d capability.
- Long bulb life in dynamic mode , doesn't compromise brightness.
- Speakers are decent.
- Two months and it's making a ticking noise very loud.
- I little harder to set up then my last but worked out well. Only wish the zoom out or in allows for more range.
- The Darbee Visual Presence feature (it really is as sharp as it claims to be! Although, don't go too far above 80% or the picture will quickly become over-sharpened and unrealistic)
- Built in speaker (it is loud but I have a 5.1 surround setup running on a 7.2 capable system right now)
- The speakers could be a bit louder and more variance between each sound setting, but it's passable.
- Fan is a little loud at times but during a normal movie it is not noticeable. I have it set to Eco mode.
- The HD28DSE includes a 10W speaker, which is useless for the majority of projector users.
- The fan is loud. It doesn't make a difference for me because I have a surround sound system that's usually louder than the noise, and the projector hangs from the ceiling about 2 feet in front of me. But it could be a problem if the projector is going to hang right over your head.
- IPtv via Android box, Firetv, Chromecast etc (HDMI)...depending on your stream it's just like watching direct from cable/satellite.
- USB port is a plus.
- MHl and HDMI input, powered USB out helps to power roku or other streaming device.
- USB slot purpose??? I tried plugging in a simple laptop cooler to keep temps down & no power from the USB. Not a dealbreaker, but what's going on there? I solved this by plugging the cooler into my modem for continuous power. It definitely helped.
- The main thing I dislike is that: I have my projector hooked up to a PC, but when I turn the projector off, it still sends a signal to the PC - making the PC think it is still active.
- I had to simplify my connections and run the older ones through my receiver that upscales the image to HDMI. This is a solid projector at this price point.
- Set up was easy and currently I have only connected it to my Roku .
- Great controls, easy to understand and learn. Connections are multiple enough for needs.
- Sound is not great from in built speakers but easy to connect to a sound bar and get surround sound audio.
- Even though its the same brand, the only negative I have to say about this is they moved all the connections from the back to the side of the unit.
- The only 3 cons are that the projector has limited inputs so you can't connect it to an older system like RGB, etc.Only HDMI.The 2nd con is that the lens is about 2" recessed into the projector.
