- The range on the 5906 is significantly better. You probably won't get 1-mile but maybe 1/2 to 1/3 of a mile is realistic.
- An amazing alarm for my 2013 Accord. Nice range and very responsive and sensitive when buttons pressed.
- The LED screen is beautiful, it kills the battery a little but the remote is usb rechargeable so that's not a problem.
- Sometimes it doesn't unlock, 1 mile radius isn't accurate.
- You will definitely need to purchase extra modules depending on your vehicle. Instructions aren’t too bad to follow. The fob with the LCD screen is a little too large for my preference so I have been carrying the smaller spare fob. The range is easily 1/4 mile consistently with either fob.
- Extremely far range. Your range will be further in the winter and shorter in the summer. This has to do with how the signal travels through colder air, compared to warmer air.
- Very convenient screen. The screen immediately lets you know what is going on with your vehicle.
- I can't say enough good things about this unit. The range is super long, I can start my vehicle from inside stores and the 2-way display tells me that it started successfully, no guesswork.
- The range is amazing for what it is even when you're inside a building EXCEPT if the building is an older structure with 40 layers of lead and asbestos.
- The screen is easily scratched. An easy fix - cut an iPhone screen protector with a sharp blade to fit onto your remote.
- 2 years later the display remote shows a blank screen.
- The battery is not a removable AAA like the 350HV two-way remote. This remote uses a lithium battery that recharges by means of USB. The battery life is approximately three weeks between charges, and takes approximately one hour to re-charge the remote.
- The remote is based around a small OLED display and is super-slick. This is the Lamborghini of key fobs, for sure.
- Easy to install and setup, but buy the programmer (988T Bitwriter) if you want to easily set the glass break or tilt sensor up.
- Great for winter when you do not want to sit in a frozen car while its heating up. Excellent range as well.
- Newest viper alarm out to date and amazing! There is a whole lot going on eith this alarm. I installed it myself and first time alarm install for me. Remote start and alarm working great!
- Buttons way too sensitive, there's a 3-5 second delay when arming the car, when I press unarmed to unlock the car.
- Long lasting battery. I charge mine every 3 weeks or so, but can last much longer.
- The remote, despite DEI's own advertising info, has a new MICRO-USB (NOT MINI!) charging port.
- Levels of arming. Silent arm, defogger switch, sensor bypass, temperature request (inside cabin of vehicle) and many more! Search Google for "Viper advanced commands".
- I also like how the alarm comes with a shock sensor that is fully adjustable, and is not attached to the mother brain.
- I can't believe that its 2013 and we still only have the bitwriter as a programming option (hello USB to PC!)
- Some times has strange issues with remote start. Maybe twice a month it starts the truck and shuts it off giving an error on the remote. The rest of the time it works great.
