- The product works really good. The remote range is exceptional, it does take some getting used to when setting up the features how you like them.
- This one has a 1 mile range so my wife can start the car from inside her work place and the car will be warm in the winter, cool in the summer.
- It has good range and the best part is the two way capability.
- Nice range as I am able to start my car from my 2nd floor office as my vehicle is parked not directly outside my window. Have been parking closer to the entrance farther away from the window and the range is impressive.
- I find that the range of the Viper doesn't live up to it's advertised range at least when I am in a building. This is my first Viper installed a few months ago.
- Only negative is once you start your car, you are not able to use the AUX button to open your trunk which is a bit of a hassle when you have a cart full of groceries.
- This alarm is great, I installed it in a 97 silverado works like it should but the 1 mile range is a bit exaggerated probably like 1/4 mile range.
- Range is phenomenal - in fact I just stopped what I was doing to comment on this. I'm on the 14th floor of a library - my truck is a good 15 walk from the library.
- The range is amazing and the 2-way function let's her know her car is running when she hits the button.
- All in all, very reliable, quality product. Happy with range, and vast amount of install versatility it provides.
- Wow, am I sorry I purchased this alarm. 2-way remote with advertised 1 mile range? I don't think so, try 200 ft., maybe. The 2-way remote kills a fresh set of 2016 batteries over night.
- The range isn't that great....I park a block away from my apartment and this thing has trouble picking up the sensor when I try to lock it from home. I am disappointed.
- Once installed the range is great and the remotes feel solid my only complaint is the buttons are easily accidentally pressed.
- I like the feature that lets you know if the vehicle is started or not and also shows on the key fob if the vehicle locked or unlocked.
- Really works good. Range up to a mile. Cool features as well as I didn't know the starter had until I read the manual.
- This was a step up from a One-way Viper remote starter that I had on a previous vehicle. The transmitting range is very good and the two-way feature (the way it confirms that the car is started, locked, ect.) is great.
- The 2-way feature is awesome so you know if the car is actually started. Only 1 remote is 2-way, the second is only 1-way. The 2-way remote will require new batteries every 5-6 months.
- I found that installing the module was more work than expected. The schematic could have had more information to better better understand the design for some of the wiring.
- Great 2-way alarm. My favorite feature is the long range transmitter. I paired my viper with the smart start module for the ultimate security system for my 2014 Toyota Avalon. Totally satisfied!
- The remote start is great. But the pit stop mode is awesome! You can leave your car running while locked to go grab something from the house or store real quick.
- Has a smart sequence before remote start can even be activated on a MT vehicle so don't worry about pressing a button while your parked car is in gear and watching it roll away.
- The only downside of this unit is that it does not open all doors with unlock feature like a factory unit might. overall a great product.
- Dont expect to install yourself. had it installed by professional. works great when it works and is really cool to have. just have some intermittent issues with remote starting system.
