- The range is pretty sick too (although it doesn't reach the garage basement of my high rise condo but it's not the product's fault). When you're out of range, the remote gives you feedback when you press any buttons by giving you the buzzing sound.
- We work in an office building, and park in a garage. When choosing a remote starter, the interference of wifi, several tons of steel in both the building and the parking structure were a huge concern. This device starts the honda from my girlfriends office. Perfect.
- This Viper remote start alarm combo it the best alarm made. I've installed plenty of these models, but love this model because of the ghost lights in the key fob. The key fob is thin and functional. It also is capable of being added to vehicles with manual transmissions!
- I bought this for my fiancee and she loves it. The range is awesome. I wish i would of got one for myself.!!
- Could not get the starter kit to fit my key and alarm is not very loud can't even hear it from inside the house.
- The remote control is far too sensitive and can easily be inadvertently activated. Whether you put this remote in your pocket or your purse, you can expect that the signal will be sent and that your car will be started when you do not want it to.
- When this device is used to start a car, this unit is often unable to unlock the doors and even prevented them from being opened with the key.
- Finally, I feel like my vehicle is protected and the remote start works perfect on cold mornings. Very good product. I am planning to buy one for my other vehicle.
- But the range on this one is definitely better than any stock remote starter. I've had it work through the brick wall at work all the way to the back of the parking lot.
- This item works as advertised. The remote buttons are easily pushed though. Something to think about while in your pocket.
- Good alarm but the remotes did not last very long and I had to replace them even after replacing the batteries.
- I find that the batteries in the Viper Responder 2 Way remote have to be replaced quite often. Had to replace the batteries after a couple of days after the alarm was installed in the car.
- If you need more range you can upgrade this with another module from viper so you can use your cellphone instead of a remote.
- I have had this installed for over a year now on my mazda rx8 AT and have had no problems with it. The alarm is loud, it can even automatically start you car if your car gets to cold.
- The auto start is nice to have any time of year. Your on your way out in the summer and press the button while your checking out in the store and by the time you get to the car is has cooled down. And vise versa for winter.
- The remote start and alarm functions are awesome. The remote beeps and lights up like xmas tree when the alarm was triggered.
- The buttons in the remote are sensitive. I found my self accidentally starting my car on when I sit down and my remote is in my pocket. The alarm also activates automatically after you leave the car unlock for several minutes.
- Does not come with the wiring diagram which was expected. They give you a website to download it but it is not on there. Emails go unanswered. Horrible customer service.
- Perfect for winter! Especially if you live in a cold state. Installation can be difficult and tedious depending on the vehicle but, most people are taking it somewhere to be installed anyways.
- The cabin temperature function is awesome! Its great to push a button and get the feedback to know that the inside of the car is warmed up enough to bring your infant out or in the summer to know that you're not going to be sitting in a sweltering car.
- Audible alarm is very efficient and LOUD which makes it a great theft deterrent.
- Timer function is helpful and reminds you that the car is running and has an automatic off setting in case you do not get into the car (or forget that you started it)- you wont run the car out of gas.
- Love the remote start if you have a 5speed manual please pay attention my car started up and took off on its on
