- This belongs in every living room and every bedroom and anywhere else you watch movies. Until all bluray players are multi region you need to get one, and this one is 4K
- Got this in the bedroom to watch 4k movies before bed. Biggest reason I got it was for the 4k Wizard of Oz release at the end of October.
- This is definitely one of the better 3D players that also supports 4K.
- There are no back-lights or phosphor to illuminate the keys. It is NOT a smart unit.
- No smart capabilities. Though network-able, I do not see a purpose for connecting at this time other than a firmware update.
- It is compatible with your LG Smart TV remotes as well. I highly recommend this for your first 4k player.
- BluRay Disks load quickly and plays at 4k resolution.
- Resolution is an incredible feeling that I'm in the cinema. This is amazing.
- This is not a "smart" player. You can connect it the internet but only to do updates for the player. You can not play apps such as netflix, hulu, or hbo.
- This is a basic player without the smart apps that other players have, so don't buy it expecting to have WIFI capabilities or the ability to stream Netflix. It doesn't do that.
- Every time I inserted a disc the tray would open back up. Tried DVDs (from different regions), Blurays and 4K Blurays, all were spat back out.
- It supports Dolby Atmos and even though it's not listed anywhere yes it also supports DTS:X.
- This region- free player functions perfectly. It does not get any easier then this. Whatever the region disc you load the player switches automatically and it plays.
- If you have the TV, have movies from various parts of the world in various formats, this is the one to get.
- Its very slow in loading all disks. I have some disks it will not play.
- Loads really fast, outstanding image quality on all formats, great audio, upscales regular Blu Ray amazingly well.
- Fast load, very good fast forward & pause operations, no issues playing Blu-rays.
- It is a very new and high quality DVD/Blu-ray/UHD disc player. It loads movies fast and the menu is simple.
- Even DVD's look pretty good, although upscaling DVD's to 4K clearly shows their limited resolution.
- If you want a machine that has a lot of apps, IE. netflix, pandora etc. then this is NOT your machine.Because it is a standard machine and there are no applications.
- HDMI perfectly transfers the image to my screen. Everything works amazingly.
- This player performs well and the output quality as well as the sound quality of the DVDs is almost identical to Blu-ray.
- The picture does not deteriorate when watching a movie. HDMI transfers the image to the screen with the same quality.
- I was initially having some audio sync issues, about which the LG website said to try unplugging the HDMI cable, then plugging it back in the opposite direction. But it did not help.
- The connection disappears constantly. It is likely that the HDMI cable is moving away and needs to be repaired.
- Tried hooking the unit up to multiple HDMI ports and other devices work fine. This player is nice.
- It plays 4k blurays and I verified that it is outputting 2140p to my TV and full surround to my 5.1 setup.
- Great, simple, device with a great quality output. The price is unbeatable.
- It seems like 4k players are not perfected yet. Every one has issues with freezes that lock up the player or has brief freezes in the movie. Even with the best 4k rated HDMI cable.
- One down side is it doesn't not seem to work with an HDMI autoswitcher.
- Plugged it into my HDMI port on my TV, keeps going out, like it has a bad connection.
