What customers say about "Key Specs"
Mackie CR4 Creative Reference Multimedia Monitors+Headphones
- They were bad, right up until they died, four months after they arrived.
M-Audio AV42 Compact Studio Monitor Speakers with 4-inch Woofer (Pair)
- Fantastic quality, and great features for low power consumption and ensuring longevity of the product. I purchased these and got an external sound card for my iMac, and LOVE the results.
- Great looks and sound. Only detractor is power button behind dedicated left speaker is really hard to reach and push without sliding speaker around or knocking the damn thing off my desk.
- Anyway, for the size and power they do as expected. Do not expect to rock the house, that is not the porpise.
- They are awesome and clear in games as well as powerful and full of sound when listening to music.
- These speakers have a single power switch in the rear of the unit. This is pretty inconvenient to get to so they have a built in power saving feature that puts the speaker into a low power mode when no input is received.

M-Audio AV42 Compact Studio Monitor Speakers with 4-inch Woofer (Pair)
- I was really surprised at how under-powered these were. The part of my house where my home studio is set up I like to keep the noise down and night so I was looking for something small
- The have great clarity and imaging for their size. I find myself listening o music longer as I am hearing details that I never noticed before.
- Surprisingly good for the size and price, with solid bass and clear highs.
- These speakers deliver great sound quality for their price and size. They look simple and do their job well, would absolutely recommend.
- Anyway, for the size and power they do as expected. Do not expect to rock the house, that is not the porpise.

What customers say about "Audio"
M-Audio AV42 Compact Studio Monitor Speakers with 4-inch Woofer (Pair)
- These things have a great bass frequency, and make listening through your iTunes library like new again.
- The woofer can play really low frequencies up to 37 Hz. I love these. Music sounds amazing through these. But the thing I find missing is a bass knob. It has only one setting.
- Clear high and mid frequency monitors with a treated room
- I usually use computer speakers and the computer speakers sound like a tin can with no 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response.
- The frequency range on these is fairly accurate (freq. range in the 80-20k range), with surprisingly tight, non-exaggerated bass response.

What customers say about "Features"
M-Audio AV42 Compact Studio Monitor Speakers with 4-inch Woofer (Pair)
- Best part is that they have their own analog volume control on the speakers, so you can adjust both via the digital input (on your computer), and on the speaker itself.
- No problems except no remote control. Good sound from small speakers. Look good on my computer desk. Recommended.
- Only thing i would change is the amount of inputs into the audio connections, as there is only one of each audio insert (red, white) other than that, great overall
- It was a little wierd having to connect the wires with the clips, but that might be normal. These are my first large speakers so I dont know.
- The volume control doesn't cover the headphone jack as well.
