What customers say about "Key Specs"
PreSonus Eris E44 Studio Monitor
  • Only received one of my two E44s. This monitor is fantastic.
  • The Eris E44 is a great pair of monitors, but as others have stated, the 4.5" woofers' frequency response tapers off at 45hz.
  • I also own the Ceres 4.5BT powered speakers as well and they are no different. I am glad I did my homework and found PreSonus.
  • The speaker's top end is smooth yet detailed. Though not deep, the speaker's bass response is trustworthy.
  • If you have $500 to spend on a pair of nearfield monitors and don't need deep bass or high volume, the Eris E44 is definitely worthy of your consideration.
PreSonus Eris E66 Active MTM Dual 6" Studio Monitor
  • I actually use these for computer gaming speakers, they sound incredible. Sound staging is second to none.
  • If set up correctly the stereo image is incredibly clean even with the crossover points of the woofers and tweeters.
  • If you're on the fence about these speakers, look elsewhere.
  • The biggest con however, is that this speaker has a horrible scratchy and fairly loud white noise that always comes out of it.
  • All I do is power it up and this ugly white noise pours out of it. I'm VERY disappointed with the quality of this unit.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
PreSonus Eris E44 Studio Monitor
  • Obviously there are limitations to this size of monitors but stereo image produced, the clarity and the flatness is amazing.
  • The E44 side panel sounds reasonably high-pitched and rigid, the much larger E66 side panel has a more hollow-sounding ring.
  • The Eris E44 is worth every cent. Incredible sound and adaptability for any set up in a small speaker.
  • I've heard lower bass from speakers this size, making the Eris E44's bottom end seem a bit weak in comparison.
  • As befits its increased size, the E66’s low-frequency performance is usefully more extended than the E44’s.
PreSonus Eris E66 Active MTM Dual 6" Studio Monitor
  • Great clarity, nice bass extension and a relatively compact size has added up to a fantastic recording.
  • Larger E66 side panel has a more hollow-sounding ring.
  • The E66 is a winner based on its long-term listenability, impressively loud output for such a small box.
  • This is more than adequate for smaller home studio mix positions.
  • The boxes were not heavy due in part to their efficient A/B amplification.

What customers say about "Audio"
PreSonus Eris E44 Studio Monitor
  • The detail and speed are just amazing. Even brutal death metal with its waves of notes can be picked apart. Hell, even audiobooks sound better.
  • The sound is pretty amazing. Bang for buck, I'd imagine it would be pretty hard to beat.
  • I use it for center SR/music, sound good I need one more and one for the E66
  • The E44s fall kind of flat in the bass aspect, which is unsurprising given theyre studio monitors. The sub completes them so well.
  • They sounded good, but the non-stop buzz is infuriating.
PreSonus Eris E66 Active MTM Dual 6" Studio Monitor
  • The sound absolutely is fantastic. No quality or longevity issues.
  • I do a good deal of music production and sound editing, and I am pleased with the sound I get out of these two.
  • Basically, it sounds pretty good, but not as good as my Mackie 6" studio monitors.
  • 6 months in I hear a buzz sound on one of the monitor. Sound is good for the money.
  • I took a chance on PreSonus after hearing mixed reviews from my peers, and I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed.

What customers say about "Features"
PreSonus Eris E44 Studio Monitor
  • At a price point where control over just treble and bass is the norm, the midrange EQ is a pleasant surprise.
  • The second switch controls a high-pass filter designed to make the Eris E44 play well with a subwoofer. This switch has flat, 80 Hz and 100 Hz settings.
  • The stereo sweet-spot is most definitely wide! It has great imaging and allows one to really hear placement of sound within the stereo field.
  • The input gain and mid- and high-frequency controls frustrate a little in being variable so that, it’s not easy to be sure they are set identically across the pair of speakers.
  • It is a shame, though, that PreSonus couldn’t find the budget to pay much attention to the cabinet.
PreSonus Eris E66 Active MTM Dual 6" Studio Monitor
  • The remaining rear-panel controls tailor the Eris E66’s response within the listening environment.
  • The Acoustic Space switch compensates for the bass boost that occurs when a monitor is placed near a wall or corner.
  • I’m philosophically against any monitor color, the E66s’ “pretty curve” didn’t force me into bad decisions or re-mixes.
  • “smooth” may be the best description, as the soft dome tweeter and even dispersion is not at all fatiguing or grating.
  • If the Eris E66 had a low boost control, I would have bumped the bottom up 3 dB.
