What customers say about "Key Specs"
Neato Robotics Botvac D3 Wi-Fi Connected Laser Navigating Robot Vacuum
- We first got a Deebot, it was terrible, returned it, and picked up this D3 Pro. Note: The Pro version comes with better filters, a filter comb/brush thing, and a little strip that can mark off boundaries.
- Keeps floors clean and lets you know once it is done.
- Very good remote vacuum. Love that I come home and the floors are done
- We originally bought this for fun thinking it would work ok and we'd still have to vacuum but it vacuums the entire house for us 3 times a week while we're at work and it does a great job.
- The other issue I have with the Neato D3 is that they ship the robot with a WORTHLESS air filter.
- The filter is terrible on this model, it get dust imbedded on the filter which you cannot get off, I tried with a soft tooth brush, but no luck.
Neato Robotics Botvac D5 Connected Navigating Robot Vacuum
- Suction is good, filter is great, cleaning it is easy.
- It cleans in a very intelligent way, cleaning every corner and driving circles around each table leg. You'll be blown away by how smart this thing is.
- Has been perfect for the cat and dog hair (both my animals are short haired). Seems to clean efficiently for the most part.
- Strong suction. We have an issue of our cats trailing litter everywhere, which we're constantly sweeping. The Botvac is easily able to suck up the litter granules.
- The D5 can't clean that entire 1500-square-foot floor without recharging once. It gets about 3/4 done, but then has to go back to its docking station for an hour or so before getting back to work.

What customers say about "Controls"
Neato Robotics Botvac D3 Wi-Fi Connected Laser Navigating Robot Vacuum
- Easy setup and continues to stay connected to the application, has always cleaned when it was scheduled
- I love this robotic vacuum. It’s so easy to use and I love the phone app!
- Memorizes your house so be sure to have everything picked up, doors shut for rooms you don’t want it to go in. Then off to the races!
- It scans the room and knows where it is unless you move it. Stops when battery is low and charges to finish cleaning no matter how big the house.
- The app is a little bare, I would really like to see some extra information in the white spaces (I really don't like that I have to click on the battery to see the percentage; there is plenty of space to always have it visible)
Neato Robotics Botvac D5 Connected Navigating Robot Vacuum
- Easy to use and setup through the app. Same features as the more expensive competitor.
- Fairly intuitive, easy setup. I'm certainly not ignorant of technology, but for time's sake, I'll always prefer simple programming. Can set up multiple, scheduled cleanings with relative ease via the app.
- The App that you can load on your smart phone lets you set schedules, start and stop it, provides you with cleaning statistics, tech data, battery power, etc.
- Two times since purchase the vacuum has lost its connection to the Wifi. It still cleans when I press the button, but this makes it so that I can't start it from the app (like when I'm at work).
- WiFi connectivity and Neato app is fidgety and inconsistent.
- Had to reconnect with the app a couple of times because it would not be detected anymore.

What customers say about "Features"
Neato Robotics Botvac D3 Wi-Fi Connected Laser Navigating Robot Vacuum
- Dust bin is easy to clean (especially with the upgraded filters, they have a screen to keep hair and big debris off the filter)
- I really like the map feature that shows where it has cleaned. So far it has worked great!
- And not to forget that I like the spot clean feature and the texts telling me the status and link with cleaning map.
- This is the only affordable model that has the actual laser intelligent mapping features to vacuum a large floor plan.
- Cleans closer to edges of walls (due to its side wall sensor)
Neato Robotics Botvac D5 Connected Navigating Robot Vacuum
- The botvac is pretty intelligent in figuring out best way to clean. Much better than my parent’s rumba was a few years ago.
- I really like the D5 for its battery life as well as its cleaning pattern and mapping ability. Its capability to resume where it left off if it is unable to do the whole cleaning in one charge.
- This thing is awesome! I have its base behind our couch, and it manages to work its way all around the house and still find its way back to the base when it's done.
- Since it's guided by LIDAR, it is able to clean in complete darkness. That's great because it often ventures into dark hallways and rooms while it cleans.
- The side cleaning brush. It is so small it is USELESS when edge cleaning. The BOT never gets close enough to the wall or baseboards for it to even be effective. A longer bristle would have easily solved this problem.
- Louder than expected. I was hoping it would do it's thing while I worked and/or watched TV, but it just becomes an annoyance. I've of course scheduled it super early in the morning when I'm not doing these tasks.
