The overall interface of the unit is quite straightforward with a large “Clean” button in the center and two smaller “Dock” and “Max” buttons on the sides. That is to say, the mentioned Max suction feature is useful for vacuuming high-pile carpets.

At first glance, it may seem that the Shark ION Robot R75 is very basic, though, it is definitely not and it has many features going for it. First things first, we'd like to note a special Detangling technology - it helps the device to deal with hair, dust, and debris without you having to control it. Plus, it eliminates the need to brush clean surfaces afterward.

Secondly, the Shark ION Robot R75 offers Wi-Fi connectivity and integration with Google Home and Amazon Alexa, which is a nice feature. You also have an option to download the Shark app to your smartphone that will let you operate and schedule your vac remotely, no matter where you are.

Next down the list is design. The Shark ION Robot R75 has a rather slim and low profile, which allows it to pick dust in hard-to-reach areas, corners and under furniture. That, however, comes at a price - its dust bin capacity is rather average (10 oz) and you'll need to empty it more regularly. The filter in the vac is high-efficiently - it effectively traps not only dust and dirt but also allergens, so in addition to cleanliness, you can also enjoy health benefits and breathe clean and fresh air.

There's one thing about the iRobot Roomba 690 which might somewhat complicate its use - this robotic cleaner determines all high objects as obstacles and bypasses them; this may be a problem if there are many fluffy carpets in your house. Having said that, if your carpets are of standard thickness, the Roomba 690 will handle them perfectly. Furthermore, you can manually guide it onto the carpets using remote controls or voice commands so it doesn't consider them as obstacles.

It'll be fair to say that this robotic vacuum isn't the best option for deep cleaning, however, you won't find a lot of robots that would fit this task anyway.

The Shark RV720 is the least sophisticated robot in the Shark's range yet it does a great job as an auxiliary vac. It’s fairly comfortable on hardwood floors, low-pile carpets, laminate, and tile.
