What customers say about "Key Specs"
Bose L1 Compact with Carry Case
- Unbelievable power and clean full range sound for a unit that only weighs 29 lbs. I use a mixing board and compressor limiter with it.You can put a mic and instrument straight into it, but it has no effects built in. I like to put it about a foot behind me and four feet to my left when performing.
- This system is just what I was looking for. It's lightweight and it sounds great! After lugging around the big heavy speakers for years the L1 Compact system is a godsend.
- Even with the instrument right by the speaker, we have experienced no feedback, which was never true with the "real sound system".
- The sound is amazing and I would compare the volume to a much larger system! I wish there was a way to adjust the sound (bass / treble) when you use the external input, but that is small issue.
- The sound quality is surprisingly good, both treble and bass. I haven't taken it to a big hall yet.
Bose L1 Model 1S Single B2 Bass Portable Line Array System
- When the L1 came out (with the round base) I used it for several years as my PA system. Then I scaled down and got the L1 Compact, good enough for my Lounge gigs and much lighter to carry around.
- Sure I was skeptical because I love my Meyers speakers but for the corporate events I produce the L1 is a great product.
- UNBELIEVABLE sound that splits your hair. The L1 replaced a much larger complex system for my DJ and small room band/acoustic gigs. I couldn't believe how much headroom there was.
- The sound is full and clear. The small foot print helps in some of the smaller venues. We set it up behind us and it works great as both PA and monitor. Very pleased!
- I am trying to determine which one of these to purchase and Bows looks good however I am always skeptical when they don't publish the power in Watts with the specifications.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Bose L1 Compact with Carry Case
- It's so lightweight, so simple, sounds amazing with vocals and acoustic guitar (as well as some percussion loops that I make, pushing the bass), and bass guitar, and doesn't even require a mixer.
- Great sound, easy to transport and set up. If you have a mixer you can easily hook that up to the L1. So far this has exceeded my expectations.
- Easy to carry, setup is easy & sounds great. I'm sorry I waited so long to get it...
- The light weight portable Bose L1 is fantastic and sounds absolutely great it easily rivals Bose larger models without the weight.
- Excellent mid and high frequency sound quality, impressive portability and very pretty.
Bose L1 Model 1S Single B2 Bass Portable Line Array System
- Summary: portability and sound are worth the investment.
- Three pieces to carry in and out - the base, the speaker tower, and subwoofer. Quick to set up, too.
- The sound quality is the best and the system is very compact. It fits in the trunk of my car with room to spare.

What customers say about "Features"
Bose L1 Compact with Carry Case
- We no longer need the power amps and the big mixer, and no more lugging around the monitor amp either.
- These are ideal in that they are powered - you can put them right next to wall outlets. They save lots of space - no bulky, unsightly speaker tripods required.
- The T1 gets it's power from the L2 through the cable. The T1 doesn't ship with a power supply so you have to buy a power supply for $35 and don't have a digital input. That said it sounds great.
- It's compact and nice for my living room to connect to my TV. Sound quality is not good enough for singing! (Talking is ok but not singing).
- Two L1 compacts and two subs connected with a Bose T1 ToneMatch Audio Engine: Congratulations! You have one of the best sound systems you can imagine!
Bose L1 Model 1S Single B2 Bass Portable Line Array System
- Of course it is still critical to balance your console gain and mic output gain but that is common with all speaker systems. Get the bass unit even if your only doing talking head gigs.
- I also like the fact the Bose L1S is very easy to set up or tear down and I don’t have to lift heavy speakers on to poles.
- For uses requiring 4 channels or less, the Tonematch mixer is a must addition. I set up in 5 minutes. FIVE minutes and I'm rockin. Best MF purchase yet!
- The mid-level system has a lot of positives...most importantly the ease of set up for the amount of sound it produces and I'm happy with my purchase overall.
- You need a mixer or some sort of eq to tone down the base and shape the sound depending on what instrument is input. Hence I use a small 8 channel mixer and separate eg on the guitars. This works pretty good.
