- I play drums and I use my DBR10 for my personal monitor. I am playing small and medium-size venues and I am enjoying it very much. It has plenty of power, clarity, and range.
- I was quite surprised how powerful these speakers were, even playing to 170 people outdoors.
- The DBR 10 is an extremely powerful and excellent sounding piece of equipment. Projects the low's and high's of the vocals and the acoustic electric Taylor guitar that I use with a quality sound.
- Yamaha no dips in frequency range, super clear and tight bass. Fantastic for outdoors since they can go loud without losing clarity.
- The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I have no control on the unit of the lows, mid-range and high's. The unit has a built in "smart mixer" that does that for the user. There is only a single volume control for each channel.
- The volume is great but not what I expected. However in hindsight its to be expected from the weight. I tried it at home (I am a full-time solo live-looper so I demand performance out of a speaker) and was underwhelmed.
- Before we got this speaker we had the original K10 boxes, and they were fantastic! Cannot believe that QSC has made an already fantastic speaker even more awesome!
- I also discovered that the K10.2 gave a deeper sound and compared to many twelve inch speaker enclosures. In other words, it kicks with full deep response. The clarity is unreal!
- I purchased this unit. I am not disappointed! It will meet my need for a smaller, easy-to-carry powerful unit for smaller setups. Did I mention that this unit proudly offers up 2000 watts of power?
- The sound quality is better than the installed systems in most cases. Quick and easy setup with a Touchmix feeding directly into these.
- Overall I am super happy and would buy these again...... good clean sound, lots of power, and really light. I think I finally met the perfect speaker......
- Great EQ options and lightweight.
- It well-built and incredibly light-weight.
- When I first received the items, I was very happy with the size and weight of this cabinet.
- Great sound, light weight, and rugged.
- I was shocked at how rugged and light weight this speaker is. It still has weight, but is easy to move around with one hand/arm and fits in any closets easily!
- I find it fairly easy to carry the K10 (it's 32 pounds), even with the QSC case which adds another pound or two to the weight. I would recommend the QSC case too. It's very well made and fits the speaker perfectly, as you would expect.
- These are definitely great and light weight to use as monitors for a 4+ piece live band, but did not satisfy my expectations while using it for mains.
- Solid construction and versatile. Light weight imo.
- The sound it's very similar like upa 10 from Meyer sound but less weight.
- As a monitor, this is great. Compact, light and very portable.
- These are awesome speakers, Just what I needed for my small and medium Gigs. I run 25 ft power chord and 25 ft XLR cables. Great sounds produced, I have other Yamaha powered speakers and would not use any thing else.
- Seems to be a great speaker. I've used it one time as a FOH main for a small acoustic duo. Especially useful are the preset eq contours for FOH and Monitor and the LPF.
- Sound quality is excellent. The feature of having a 3 position sound contour setting allows alternatives for boosting the highs and lows to fit the application somewhat
- Scratch easy and I wish they were louder.
- Sound quality is not good. You have to buy separate wires for this speaker to TV or Mixer. No wires provided.
- The preset feature makes it easy to change settings for specific items. We used the "live" present without any subwoofers. We could hear the bass guitar clear without any major eq"s, vocals sound clear and crisp, and we could also hear the cajon clearly.
- And I can also depend on QSC product quality. These are rugged and substantial, yet not clunky and clumsy.
- I will be selling my JBL's now. This speaker is the finest speaker ever made
- The presets are perfect. They work great as wedge monitors or PAs. Full range sound even without a subwoofer. Look high and low and you won't better bang for the buck.
- The only reason I don't give this 5-stars: when in floor monitor position, the cable jacks end up being perilously close to the ground.
