- When the L1 came out (with the round base) I used it for several years as my PA system. Then I scaled down and got the L1 Compact, good enough for my Lounge gigs and much lighter to carry around.
- Sure I was skeptical because I love my Meyers speakers but for the corporate events I produce the L1 is a great product.
- UNBELIEVABLE sound that splits your hair. The L1 replaced a much larger complex system for my DJ and small room band/acoustic gigs. I couldn't believe how much headroom there was.
- The sound is full and clear. The small foot print helps in some of the smaller venues. We set it up behind us and it works great as both PA and monitor. Very pleased!
- I am trying to determine which one of these to purchase and Bows looks good however I am always skeptical when they don't publish the power in Watts with the specifications.
- Vocals are clear, acoustic guitar sounds amazing, conga drums are punchy, and the overal control of each individual channel having a variety of effect choices from reverb, to delay, to compressor controlled digitally is amazing.
- My wife was listening to me practice and commented, it just sounds so pleasant to the ear.
- The sound is so clear and perfec. We play Bluegrass Music with all acoustic instruments.
- This system sounds great everywhere I set it up. I'm running a 6 string bass with Digital Performer controlling a Korg Keyboard. I have 2 B1 bass cabs.
- The room was filled but not overpowered by the sound system. The L1 Model II offered up very natural-sounding reproductions of all the instruments (even the banjo!), and we received several compliments on the sound after the show.
- Summary: portability and sound are worth the investment.
- Three pieces to carry in and out - the base, the speaker tower, and subwoofer. Quick to set up, too.
- The sound quality is the best and the system is very compact. It fits in the trunk of my car with room to spare.
- Overall, for a small band in clubs where you're looking at 100-250 listeners, the L1 will blow you away in how quick, easy, and customizable it is to setup.
- It is great for indoor OR outdoor events, and setup takes just a few minutes. I highly recommend this for any one looking for a great portable system.
- I love that fact that I can set up in minutes, I don't have to lug heavy speakers around and the sound is better than any other that I have heard from a PA.
- In addition it is very easy to setup and take down if you need it to be mobile.
- Of course it is still critical to balance your console gain and mic output gain but that is common with all speaker systems. Get the bass unit even if your only doing talking head gigs.
- I also like the fact the Bose L1S is very easy to set up or tear down and I don’t have to lift heavy speakers on to poles.
- For uses requiring 4 channels or less, the Tonematch mixer is a must addition. I set up in 5 minutes. FIVE minutes and I'm rockin. Best MF purchase yet!
- The mid-level system has a lot of positives...most importantly the ease of set up for the amount of sound it produces and I'm happy with my purchase overall.
- You need a mixer or some sort of eq to tone down the base and shape the sound depending on what instrument is input. Hence I use a small 8 channel mixer and separate eg on the guitars. This works pretty good.
- The mixer also has phantom power so you can use a condenser mic if needed, which is useful for a variety of miking conditions.
- Clear natural sound. Now my bass player and guitar player want to plug in because sound is so acoustically pure and natural. I also use it for small settings with just lower half of tower setup
- I have to adjust EQ slightly to compensate but have gotten used to the settings and can do it quickly. It works great.
- It takes all the setup and take-down headaches out of the picture. Ten minutes max.o No monitors, big speakers or boards, everything fits on the back seat.
- The tone match also makes my voice sound much better than it is, and for that alone I'm very grateful.
