- Great sound.Clear highs and awesome bass.Highly recommended.
- Grat sound I set them setup in stero with a Mackie mixer. Rocks the House! Awesome Sound and Clarity with Excellent Bass !
- Great bottom end and clear highs. Going to use it for the first time in a public performance tonight.
- This system is more powerful than the Bose L1 Compact, and, to my ear sounds as good or better.
- Not as powerful as the PRX715 (~115db vs. ~135db), you'll still need a 18" sub for a large crowd (only 10" instead of 15" in the PRX715). VERY stiff spacers.
- When the L1 came out (with the round base) I used it for several years as my PA system. Then I scaled down and got the L1 Compact, good enough for my Lounge gigs and much lighter to carry around.
- Sure I was skeptical because I love my Meyers speakers but for the corporate events I produce the L1 is a great product.
- UNBELIEVABLE sound that splits your hair. The L1 replaced a much larger complex system for my DJ and small room band/acoustic gigs. I couldn't believe how much headroom there was.
- The sound is full and clear. The small foot print helps in some of the smaller venues. We set it up behind us and it works great as both PA and monitor. Very pleased!
- I am trying to determine which one of these to purchase and Bows looks good however I am always skeptical when they don't publish the power in Watts with the specifications.
- Light, compact, everything is in the box (you can even keep the XLR cables inside!), no more freaking stand to carry around, no more heavy PRX or K12 to lift up to the pole.
- It is light and easy to transport and assemble. The sound is great.
- At 40 pounds, it is about the same weight as a 5 gallon water bottle, but a lot bulkier. I bought the wheeled bag for it, mostly for protection, but there are times I have to take it off of my equipment cart for transport, and it helps to move it on a level floor.
- It's a bit bulky and heavy for me, but i can transport it in a roller bag which i purchased.
- Summary: portability and sound are worth the investment.
- Three pieces to carry in and out - the base, the speaker tower, and subwoofer. Quick to set up, too.
- The sound quality is the best and the system is very compact. It fits in the trunk of my car with room to spare.
- The Bluetooth is awesome feature however the reach strength is awful. I have to keep my devices right next to it which defeats the purpose.
- The sound is awesome and the Bluetooth the best.
- The sound quality is fantastic and very true. Bluetooth connectivity is a great feature for backyard let Pandora play situations. The subwoofer is a great touch.
- The main feature was it's ability to fold down into one compact unit that you could roll out with the rolling bag and I will say, it's everything I hoped for in that regard.
- The only issue of this unit is the back panel gets hot for some reason.JBL support team said it is normal.
- The microphone sound is bad don't buy it for singing purposes.
- Of course it is still critical to balance your console gain and mic output gain but that is common with all speaker systems. Get the bass unit even if your only doing talking head gigs.
- I also like the fact the Bose L1S is very easy to set up or tear down and I don’t have to lift heavy speakers on to poles.
- For uses requiring 4 channels or less, the Tonematch mixer is a must addition. I set up in 5 minutes. FIVE minutes and I'm rockin. Best MF purchase yet!
- The mid-level system has a lot of positives...most importantly the ease of set up for the amount of sound it produces and I'm happy with my purchase overall.
- You need a mixer or some sort of eq to tone down the base and shape the sound depending on what instrument is input. Hence I use a small 8 channel mixer and separate eg on the guitars. This works pretty good.
