- I recently bought the massive and heavy knife which came with an elegant leather covered box. It has every tool SAK makes.
- Yeah, it’s not inexpensive but it is a heck of a well made tool.
- The blades are very sharp and the tools all feel very tight and solid, open smoothly and snap back nicely as they are supposed to.
- You know, for this thing's capability and for how many tools it has, it seriously is VERY compact. The tool has beautiful handle scales, and the darn thing still weighs less than half a pound!
- Some of the tools are fairly useless, such as the pharmacist spatula. Some stir their coffee with it, one guy uses it as a mirror (why? the knife blade is a large high polished mirror, the spatula is matte).
- If you for some reason feel incentivized to purchase a very expensive multi tool that will likely have everything you need, go for it, just don’t lose it, ever.
- After having this for over a year I finally feel ready to give it a thorough review, and all I can say about this is wow! It has everything and more.
- Overall. This is a great knife! It has everything one could ever need. I have used every tool for something.
- Victorinox Swiss Champ XAVT is amazing pocket Knife, it has all the tools you will need in an emergency, you can use it in various works and obtain successful. I recommend.
- This is the most awesome and wonderful multi tools high quality craftsmanship has everything you can think of besides a kitchen sink.
- Carried on the belt in the XLT leather pouch it is the same general size as the S54.
- Although large I can use it and my hands are Medium to maybe large in size, but using two hands for somethings, most people could use it
- Build quality is what you would expect from a Victorinox product, i personally prefer this size vs its bigger brother. Shipping was quick.
- The size factor of the knife is really perfect for daily carry with its sheath. I did consider about purchasing the XAVT, but the size factor was a little large and I did not want to have to worry about getting the time mechanism wet.
- What I would eliminate, thus reducing size and weight, would be the spatula, fish scaler, electrician's knife and hook.
- Size wise, it is just a millimeter or two larger than double the width of my Swiss Champ.
- As reviewer MOM noted -its big-but quite useable. It would fill the backpocket of my Levis. As another noted, its about the width of my medium sized palm.
- I had previously owned the XLT and people always commented on the size of that knife, but the XAVT blows it away.
- This knife system as a whole is beefy and thick. It's as wide as an iPhone but thicker. It's almost 1 pound in weight.
- Its only good use besides a collectors item is a pape weight. Think strongly befor you buy this knife or you will be wasting your hard earned money.
- In addition, there is a lifetime warranty for the Victorinox knives and multi tools. Very few multitool manfacturers have this feature.
- Excellent quality and many useful features. Don't be afraid to use it - it's solid.
- I have about a dozen Swiss army knives both Wenger and Victornox, This knife has all the best features and has a wonderful fit and finish! Outstanding!
- This knife is so loaded with features it's no wonder why Swiss Army continues to be so good. Would recommend this knife & Swiss Army to anyone looking for quality and options.
- The tool has beautiful handle scales, and the darn thing still weighs less than half a pound!
- Also as noted, the scales are unique-clear red but pebbled in finish, closer to the nylon scales on the larger lockback 111 mm models-never seen anything like them-and in this regard i really like them for thier uniqueness.
- Now to the electronics. This is one of my favorite parts. The simplicity of how this many features can be operated with one button is amazing! just press the Vicorinox logo away you go.
- It has so many cool features as advertised. Expensive ? Yes. Are you getting a top of the line Swiss Army knife/multitool ? YES.
- It's feature-rich, uses high quality materials, has great construction and solidity, and looks and feels great.
- One other note, the scales of this knife are a semi-transparent textured plastic. Not the most attractive of their scales.
