The saw is a hungry beast, devouring its way through wood and other soft materials, like plastic, drywall, etc.
The can opener and bottle opener work well and they have the extra features of having the flathead screwdrivers and a wire stripper to boot.
The saw is fantastic, and will allow you to take samples of any wood you see growing out in the brush. The can opener is a dream.
It came shave sharp out of the box and a few swipes on a ceramic bar made it scary sharp. The reamer also has a nice edge to it.
A little disappointed that my saw rubs the blade and all of the blades are not perfectly strait like most of my other victoinox but I still like it.

I use this daily to open letters, as a screw driver, to pull nails out of the wall, take out splinters and to open toy packages for my children.
The opening tools can perform a very wide variety of tasks. The reamer tool is superb! What an excellent tool. Drills, scrapes, punches, scribes, planes, pokes, cleans, etc.
The stainless steel blade sharpens more easily than any other stainless steel blade found on non-Swiss army knives but will hold an edge quite well.
The large screwdriver blade stays in position when it's only moved halfway towards being fully opened, a surprisingly useful feature which lets you put a screwdriver into some tight spaces.
Unfortunately after a dozen of apples and oranges peeled steel went dull which is pretty fast.

The blade is the perfect size for food prep, carving tasks, and whatever else a pocket knife will be used for.
It is the perfect size for the tasks that a pocket knife would be used for and the tools it does have are all essential without adding too much.
This is not just a pocket knife, it really can do a lot even as an emergency survival knife! If i would get lost in woods with only this knife in my pocket, i am certain it would save my life.
The fit and finish of the knife is excellent. The size is larger than the Tinker.
The tool fits in my pocket comfortably and still has a good assortment of tools.
To large and bulky and you difficult to open. Too large to carry.

Victorinox Pioneer Alox Swiss Army Knife

The knife feels great in your hand and fits perfectly in the top right corner pocket of my jeans.
It is just right in size to do everything from peeling an apple to creating a fire. It has all essential tools and is stil easy to handle an smaal enough to have in your pocket all day.
The knife blade and drivers is also slightly larger than the standard models, which makes it suitable for more demanding tasks.
It is an excellent size. Very slim for pocket carry but longer than most SAKs so a little more comfortable to use.
This knife is very light for its size. No weight in the pocket. The fit and finish of this knife is what you would expect from Victorinox Great.
Too heavy to carry around...especially backpacking.

This knife quickly became one of my favorites and replaced my main carry knives, even the ones that cost much more.
It's well designed, well constructed & plenty strong for its intended purpose, i.e. urban or light-field tasks
The springs and tools are very strong and the whole knife is way more durable than knives with plastic scales.
The aluminum handles have a nice tactile feel. It looks and feels a little more upscale that my red Ranger.
The Alox scales look and feel great, whereas the plastic scales on the Farmer feel cheap.

Victorinox Pioneer Alox Swiss Army Knife

Knife has a very strong construction with excellent slip joints. Steel has excellent rust resistant and the main blade came with good sharpness.
I like that it's a metal handle instead of the plastic molded ones, and has the textured sides for a better grip.
The blade is made of stainless steel and is very versatile. This product is great for camping even though it doesn't have a little saw tool.
It´s very sturdy for such lightweigt knife. I think it lasts a lifetime in normal use.Alox handle looks beautiful and gives good grip.
My only gripe is the keyring bites into my hand when I use the knife so I ground it off.
