- It currently upscales everything to 4K. I wish it'd give an option to send content at the content's original resolution and refresh rate to the TV, and let the TV upscale it.
- It plays flawless every single video I throw to it regardless format or resolution (up to 4K).
- As it's a TV/media streaming box, the most important thing is fast, smooth, high resolution video. And all this is present.
- These are 4k resolutions and I moved from Amazon Fire TV because of lack of YouTube and YouTubeTV support.
- Occasionally black screen and reboot. Steam cannot play high resolution.
- Awesome product, very quick response on the UI, much better than the A8 Core unit
- Goood overall performance.easy browsser, difficuly initially if you dont know android system.
- The speed of the device is decent, sometimes it has troubles to reproduce 720p mkv files (comes with MX player preinstalled), but since the update 11-15-12, it plays content without issues.
- Slow internet speed through this product compared with my sony blue ray.
- It works not that fast, I does not work with external HD drive and the speed of download is also not very good

- This is probably the BEST android based box that currently exists. Powerful processor and great graphics processor with easy to use interface.
- Powerful processor with a good amount of on board memory with an expansion slots to add more.
- The processor in this device is pretty powerful, i had no real issues with any of the streaming and other software i would commonly use.
- The shield has great tech support, and works great. The processor power is amazing.
- It processor is fast as long as you have decent internet connection speeds. But if the connection is lost, the processor for some reason starts to work slowly.
- Storage expansion - up to 32 GB external SD card, 2 USB ports for external drives
- SD card slot and additional USB ports
- Has built in gigabit ethernet port.
- Built in ethernet port stopped working after 1 hour of use.
- The ethernet port is useless. But the wireless never fails me
- The HD home run software uses the external HDD for recorded TV storage and for cashing live TV.
- The OS is supreme for entertainment. And Nvidia continues to update it.
- The built-in android OS and the included remote are much more responsive than my smart TV. This is an excellent buy.
- There is a problem with the firmware or the Android OS that cause this problem with the memory storage mode of the USB ports.
- There are still just some things that Android OS cant do as good as Windows OS or maybe just not even compatible. And that is my only reasoning for keeping my PC around.
- Great item for xbmc use via hdmi to TV. This runs the android OS and launches the xbmc. Goos system, updates have been rolling out not to frequent but stable.
- I like the android OS and I use it to monitor my home security system via IP cam viewer, and I like the ability to use widgets for a clock and weather
- I use Google Play Music to play my local mp3 music and .m3u playlists, as well as online music.
- Has built in Google Play(App Market) seems real and works just fine.
- Love Android products... but this one is just garbage. The Android OS is not made to be on a television and you can see this once its turned on. Too many things to have to do to get it to work.
- ITEM RUNS THE ANDROID OS DOES NOT PLAY 1080P MKV FILES LIKE IT SAYS IT WOULD.
- The Wifi connection is pretty darn fast but I prefer LAN connection for streaming 4k and running Plex.
- Includes Google assistant and it's quite responsive. Has Bluetooth, wifi and Ethernet and supports expandable USB storage.
- The remote and gamepad have a good feel in my hands and I enjoy holding them. For what it is the build quality is adequate though, just don’t drop it.
- Wifi - Connected, No internet. This happens on both bands and with different routers and after numerous factory resets. Luckily I use ethernet exclusively.
- The remote control doesn't work with external hard drives. This is a strange bug but it's completely reproducible and lots of people have the same issue.
- Out of the box I had really bad video with rca cables but HDMI was perfect.
- The remote is not too bad, but I installed an app called DroidMote that enables me to use my android tablet as a touchpad to control this box
- Wifi connectivity was very poor
- The remote is terrible so I recommend a logitech wireless keyboard.
- The remote is low quality and os is awkward to navigate with it, probably why so many use wireless keyboard & mouse.
