- It loads programs fast (not much more notable speed compared to the standard SSD that connects like the original hard drives)
- Unbelievably fast. 2500+ MB/s read speed in synthetic benchmarks and unfathomably shorter load times in real world applications.
- Capacity to physical size ratio. Considering how tiny this thing is on the outside, the fact that you can get 512GB out of this (with Samsung releasing a 1TB version later this year) is incredible. This may be the reason I move purely to solid state storage in all of my computers.
- This Drive is amazing! Faster than I expected, load times are a thing in the past with these drives. Most of my games open nearly instantly, maybe a second or two delay then boom I am at the main game menu.
- I'm so glad I decided to install these just because of the lightning fast read/write speeds. You wont need any benchmark software, you WILL notice the difference right away.
- The drive is listed at 512Gb, but only 476Gb of that is usable. However, the magician software from Samsung allows you to change this, but its not recommended... It would have been nice to get a cool badge with it for your case....
- Drive has been working extremely well with an older H97 chipset with PCIe Gen 2x2 on the M2 slot. Read and write are bottlenecked by the older M2 slot to about 800MB/s in and out, still better than I would get with SATA 6.
- Fantastic SSD speeds twice as fast. Game loading times instant. Great as single or in RAID. Also Low Temp.
- Performed on par with expectations. Runnung in a Z170 machine on an ASUS Maximus VIII Formula. Above average read and write speeds. Don't hesitate to purchase. You wont be disappointed.
- Best write speed I have seen from a single SSD to date (over 2000MB/s).
- Full performance may be limited on some systems or require workarounds to achieve max performance.
- This thing is tiny! Never had a m.2 before, but the fact that it sits on the board and doesn't need a bay drive or needs to be placed somewhere on the case Is great, not to mention the speed of this thing.
- Consistent performance. My drive does not ever thermally throttle. Now, this may possibly be because of the fact that I have a radiator with 4 fans blowing a ton of air straight across the drive and graphics card, but the point still stands that it is very responsive to airflow.
- Small form factor doesn't take up a lot of space
- The performance is great -- I get close to or above advertised performance on these with a modern system and a PCIe g3 x4 connection.
- The screw to hold the drive on to the motherboard is way too short to actually work. I ended up using a little super glue to make up for that at the end of the screw and that ended up working fine.
- Was very difficult to install as an upgrade. Even now that everything is exactly as specified in the instructions, the system still occasionally crashes due to this device. Probably will be fixed in a firmware update.
- Have been using for about 6 months now and have been very happy. Love the M2 design both for low-profile and ridiculous levels of speed.
- Extremely durable and reliable drive.
- I like the fact that this makes my built looks a bit cleaner with less cables (1 or 2 cables more when using HDD or SSD Sata) because it connects directly into the Motherboard.
- It's easy to install, connects and draws power from the motherboard (i.e. no cables), and is blazing fast.
- Heat and power may be an issue for laptop systems.
