- Mechanical. The hand crank isn't going to wear out, and I don't worry about jams, a concern I read about on the Vagabond.
- Versatile. It really has worked with every accessory I've tried so far.
- Love everything about the new big shot plus. It doesn't weigh anymore than the regular big shot and you don't have to hold it down while cutting. It has a smooth feed and I can use all of my previous dies, folders, and thinlets. Great investment.
- This is the top of the line for ease of use, durability, and construction. It will cut any and all dies on the market plus any embossing folders.
- The cutting plates. Why package standard size plates with the extended size platform? It's a minor concern as I can see these plates will need replacing frequently.
- I absolutely loved this machine, it cuts so nicely. However, today it stopped working. It makes a loud noise and will not cut any longer. Shouldn't something this expensive last longer than 20 months? I use this every day but still I thought it would last longer. Very disappointed.
- Very happy with my purchase, I also grabbed a Sizzix 2.5" strip die and cut enough binding for a king size quilt in about five minutes and way more accurate than rotary cutting!
- With the larger area I cut both my paper hexies and the fabric together at the same time using one die for paper and one 2 sizes larger for fabric, a huge plus in my book. You can't go wrong with sizzix.
- Love, love, love the huge cutting area. So much easier to use with larger sheets of paper!
- I'm excited about the larger cutting area on this machine! The best part for me is not having to cut my 8.5 X 11 paper to run it through this Big Shot!
- It doesn't come with the longer plates (I saw it being used by Tim Holtz with the LONGER Plates); had to purchase them separately.
- The best feature is the ratio of turns of the handle: many less than another brand machine. Highly recommended.
- My favorite part is the easy loading, you can create your sandwhich on the platform and when it comes out on the other side it doesn't fall off like the other machine.
- So happy with it . Since its the plus starter kit, it came along with all the fun things to play with. It's really so huge that i can use my A4 card stock to cut and emboss Now.
- I am a quilter and I just finished a quilt using this machine and dies. It was so fast - the accuracy of the cuts with 6 to 8 layers of fabric and sewing the units with no dog ears was just so much more enjoyable.
- This product has multiple uses; it is able to cut thin substrates as well as thick. So far, all I have cut is fabric and it does a great job with that. I have cut about 6 layers thick of cotton fabric and get nice clean cut every time.
- I have had this machine for only a few months and rarely used it. When I did finally use it, the handle came apart from the base as I tried to cut paper. This is so frustrating!
- I love this machine , but it stopped working after the one year warranty and when I call customer service I was told their was nothing they could do and they would not even tell me where to go to get it repaired.
- The best feature is the ratio of turns of the handle: many less than another brand machine. Highly recommended.
- The vagabond 2 is so much better than the original. No plastic parts but all the same wonderful features.
- The cutting feature works well but I'm a teensy bit concerned that each cut leaves deep marks in the 'windows' holding it in place.
- The multipurpose platform is a nice feature. It takes the guess work out of shims and paper pieces.
- Also, IMO the magnetic platform and that was pretty much a waste of money concerning the magnetic feature.
