- I dropped the little guy in the pool and went inside. After an hour and a half went back outside and the pool bottom was 100% clean, and it was filthy to start. Absolutely the BEST purchase ever.
- This thing is great! At least for my use which is: I have an 18 foot round above ground pool.
- Cord is long enough for my pool, it does lightly knot here and there, but it never has interfered with its ability to clean
- Anyway - it does a great job cleaning the pool - the filter bag is large and holds even very fine particles such that I never have to use the pool vac running through my main pool filter.
- The electrical chord is also a problem. It becomes tangled after each use to the point where the pool cleaner cannot clean the farther reaches of the pool because the chord is tangled up and restricts the movement of the cleaner.
- The only minor negative is that the cord could be a little longer.
- This cleaner seemed to have somewhat decent reviews, 50' cord, and a great price, so I decided to give it a shot. I figured if this this would clean the bottom of the pool, I would be OK with sweeping the side walls and steps.
- My pool is about 17000 gals gunite in ground rectangle pool. It is the deepest 6ft, and has a slope. I will use my Aquabot when larger items are in my pool, and put it in the garage when not in use, and use my generic kreppy krawly suction more daily when not swimming in the pool.
- First, all robotic pool cleaners will break eventually. So what has the most bang for the buck? I have had 3 pools at 3 homes and all used some kind of automatic pool cleaner.
- If you have a small above ground pool this may work but for mine I have to classify it as a piece of junk I would advise STEER CLEAR Rick
- Not once has this robot traversed the entire pool. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to manually vacuum, but so far this robot is looking like a complete waste of money.
- This robot will clean everything on the bottom of your pool. Love it.
- I get a lot of leaves and pine needles in the pool and it was always a chore to get them cleaned out. Now, I just plug in the Smartpool robot and let it swim for about 1 to 2 hours. The bottom of the pool is perfectly clean.
- This product did not even last one pool season. The propeller on top of it will spin and it powers on, but that is all it will do. I cant even get in touch with the supplier.
- My pool was really dirty from all the debris that fell in from the cover when opening it.
- Big objects, like dead bugs or leaves on the bottom of the pool, no problem it scoops it up but I believe the green Alungi is going right through the device and just spreading around... well that's my take on it, I was happy at first but with the price I was expecting a better job.
- I have a 20x40 pool with an 8ft deep end and this bot has no problem going up the walls and getting the pool spotless.
- For me, if I run 2 of the 2 hour cycles and return, my pool is 98% clean. I would recommend running it 3-4 times a week to keep your pool clean.
- Pool is still not clean. I've tried placing it in different areas and it still only goes to the one area. It will go completely across the pool, sit there, then go completely back to clean the exact same spot it was cleaning for the past half hour.
- It does move around the pool, but it passes right over settled dirt. Dirt that if you just pass your foot over stirs into the water.
- The dirt was just stirred some into the water and shortly after it was done, the dirt settled back to the bottom. It just doesn't really do much other than run across the bottom of the pool.
- Already had one that quit on expiration of warranty. Still an amazing feature for anyone that doesn't have time to vacuum daily.
- It shuts off automatically after 2 hours. It picks up everything from sludge like material, pine needles, leaves, and worms.
- It only goes backwards then shuts off in 10 minutes. I called Smartpool and was told, sorry, not much they can do.
- The drive motor dies. The vacuum part continues to work but the motor that drives the wheels dies. I have not abused these units and have followed manufacturers usage directions and they have both been winterized in a climate controlled garage through winter.
- It worked well until I started trying to use it this season. I had followed the maintenance protocol to the letter...took it out of pool as soon as it shut off, cleaned bag and filter after each use, kept control and unit in a dry location when not in use, etc.
- Our pool is oval and although it works independently, we do monitor it to help adjust the direction if it gets stuck in the same area.
- It does work however the cord that floats at the top of the water is so curled and you can't get it to straighten up makes the unit not go as far at the bottom of pool.
- Consistently shuts off after only an hour. Pretty much sits and does nothing most of the time.
- Bad, no timer, it has to be physically switched on by someone thus if you're away - no cleaning.
- The cord is just a pain to deal with, always twisting up. It is bulky.
