- This is my 3rd pool robot I've had over the years. It's clearly the best. The floor and walls of my pool are beautifully sparkling clean.
- The cleaning algorithm is superior as it covers the whole pool reliably, and does it faster than the others.
- This will give you hours back in your day if you had to maintenance scrub a plaster pool bottom daily, and that is what I use it for.
- This does a great job. On the expensive side, but so far seems worth it. My pool was a mess after the winter and cleaned with no problem, large leaves and twigs included.
- The power lift system is a great feature. When you are done cleaning the pool, you push a button and the Polaris 9550 rises to the surface. Let the water drain into your pool before pulling the cleaner out of the water. Makes it less heavy.
- Still having some issues where it doesn't quite cover the entire pool surface area and the wand is difficult to use, sort of like a Wii remote control.
- This unit vacuumed and cleaned walls and every surface on my pool very good, but no stairs or levels that are not 1 feet deep.
- Its expensive, but if you maintain your own pool I think its a must-have. Our pool has never been cleaner.
- My pool was a mess after the winter and cleaned with no problem, large leaves and twigs included. I recently used to remote to guide it a spot it missed and it was amazing
- I gave it two stars because of the extra features, but at the end of the day I expect a thousand dollar rooting pool cleaner to clean the pool.
- I have run it through 12 cleaning cycles and its has performed well. I have an irregular shaped 20,000 gallon pebbletec pool that tends to have a lot of leaves and sand at the bottom.
- It goes on the edge of the pool tile as well, slightly scrubbing the waterline but nothing like a brush and baking soda so don't expect that.
- Does a very good job of cleaning the pool.
- The difficulty we are having is related to how it turns over after climbing the wall of the pool and ends up on the bottom of the pool on its back and does not right itself, kind of like a stranded turtle.
- The only place it doesn't clean is the steps used to walk into the pool. They are 1/2 the width of the cleaner so it really can't clean them....like driving a car on the sidewalk.
- The filter it came with had very small holes, and it picked up the smallest particles (pollen) and clogged easily - we have A LOT of pollen.
- I suspect there are some consumables such as the brushes or wheels but so far I'm so happy with this robot.
- Polaris has a good reputation so I went for it. I wanted a pool vac that would also brush.
- Shock, a lot of it, 30lbs at three different times, and a little brushing from me and now my pool looks good.
- It truly does climb the walls of my gunite pool and cleans all the way to the water line. This significantly reduces the amount of time I spend brushing down the sides of the pool.
- Does not clean real well in corners and along edges, so if very dirty can brush out from those before starting.
- Using this with solar breeze pool skimmer and solar ionizer is great! One note is after every use when you wash the filter also spray the robot with clean tap water will help the polaris last longer. Don’t forget salt water and chlorine destroys everything!!!
- The remote control although odd at first took just a few minutes to get used to it and was really easy to direct it to specific spots. The feature where you press a button and direct it to a side of the pool for removal I first thought was more a gimmick. Man was I wrong. This is a nice feature.
- My favorite feature is the basket inside that collects the debris. It's a rigid plastic basket that you just spray off and place inside without having to stretch the wet elastic over the square holder on my prior Dolphin robot and so much easier than handling the smelly cloth bags.
- The lift feature and the manual control is nice... it takes a bit of time to get used to the remote however.
- The chord is also a pain as it gets tangled EVERYTIME you use it so the 7-day program feature is pretty much useless.
- The lift feature is the jam! Push a button, rotate towards you, and the handle appears at the surface for easy removal.
- Storing it on the caddy is another nice feature. Even after one cleaning I feel comfortable in walking away from this and returning later.
- The power lift system is a great feature. When you are done cleaning the pool, you push a button and the Polaris 9550 rises to the surface.
- Really like the auto up feature. Not as thorough as the Dolphin Premier.
- The remote needs a better signal, or some kind of improvements.
