- Battery life test. I got just under 7 minutes of controllable flight time while recording with the camera.
- 7 minute flight time isn't bad for a cheap quad, but additional batteries are cheap!
- Fly time is about 5 mins. I HIGHLY recommend getting a starter kit of some sort that comes with extra batteries.
- The time of flight is short, aprox. 7-8 minutes, the battery is just 500mah.
- Battery life is from 7-10 minutes of active flight and that's unfortunately very low, so I highly recommend 3-4 batteries for longer flights.
- The UDI 818A is a great quad-copter. It is very durable, flies well and maintains flight for about 10 minutes.
- Very easy to use, good quality materials, packaged very well. This quadcopter was actually much better than I had expected.
- This Udi U818A is the best quadcopter I have ever bought. Suitable for flying indoor and outdoor. Great buying.
- These take about 45min to charge and give about 9min of flight time. Also, due to their discharge rate, they provide allot more response from a lower throttle position.
- The Quadcopter motors are not very strong so if there is any wind it will be blown that direction because motors are not strong enough.
- It’s extremely light but solidly built. Picking it up I was amazed at how well made it felt.
- It was actually recommended as a good medium sized learner drone. My son was able to figure it out after a day or two and is now flying it without any issues. I would say this is a very good learner drone.
- This is a nice larger size drone with all the features that one expects on a hobby grade drone.
- Overall the weight, size, function of this copter is better than most entry level drones I have operated.
- Light weight and large surface area of chassis are susceptible to wind interference - a strong breeze will easily carry this quadcopter away
- The light weight of the UDI 818A means longer flight times. Unfortunately, it also means this quad is very susceptible to any breeze or wind faster than 4 or 5mph.
- I would easily recommend this quadcopter for first time flyers, love the size and stability in still air.
- All in all, i'm very happy with my purchase, great starter copter, and my friend who owns 5-6 copters of all sizes and has flown them for years was really impressed with this one.so its really a good all around copter!
- This is a very nice quadcopter to get started with. It's a nice size which makes it easier to control.
- These are awesome! They are light weight which, oddly enough, makes them more durable.
- The controls are also quite sensitive. Small tweaks to power or direction only need the lightest touch on the control sticks.
- The controls are very responsive. It smoothly rotates so you can change your direction.
- Battery life test. I got just under 7 minutes of controllable flight time while recording with the camera.
- Left round button changes the hi/lo mode which can be changed while flying. Starts off in lo. Hi allows for faster maneuvers.
- The advanced mode with sharper turning and faster speeds is pretty great for more knowledgeable users. Camera is subpar, but you're not usually getting a camera at this price point so it's not a con.
- Besides the quadcopter being very good I like the transmitter it comes with. The transmitter has a small display and more channels then other beginner quads I have bought.
- This quadcopter is one of the best one i have flown it is stable in flight and durable in hard landing.
- This drone is awesome and easy to operate, great for a beginner like me.
- It is a great quadcopter. I can use its camera function to record the this quadcopter's wonderful flying action.
- Ease of flight. Unlike some other cheap ones, this has a learner mode which turns the sensitivity way down for the controls. I was hovering and hopping around with it inside my house within 5 minutes of my first use.
- The highlighting design components are Propeller Motif with LED Lights and All-White Body Construction.
- The camera is fine and that’s really the highest praise I can offer. It’s got a 2MP camera that’s capable of 720p video as well and is equipped with a 4 GB memory micro SD Card.
- This is a nice larger size drone with all the features that one expects on a hobby grade drone. All it's missing are brushless motors and a GPS.
- This was a great gift for my 12 year old. Flys accurate and high. He loves it. Camera is ok. You have to download the video from the memory stick to a computer to view. But it's fun.
- Card reader works off and on, the micro sd card fits loose, very cheap.
- The battery is removable unlike some beginner quads of the same price range. Extra batteries are cheap.
- Camera quality is better than expected. It's just an all around good item.
- The camera feature, by the way, takes fantastic video. Better than my FPV camera on my F450. In fact, if we ever total this little quad, you can bet I will be stripping the pinhole camera off of it and making work on my F450. Really. It is that good.
- Spare parts and batteries readily available, this model is for sale everywhere so you can get parts locally
- Also, the camera works ok, but the video feature is really neat for a beginner. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get into this without breaking the bank.
