- The Pro is definitely the way to go over the Standard because it uses GLONAS GPS (connencts to Russian/American Satellites).
- You also get longer range (rated 1.2 miles vs .5 mile on standard).
- Super easy setup, massively long range, a sleek design.
- Wow! With a flight time of around 18 minutes, they've thought of almost everything. I've flown this in all of the modes to include ATTI, GPS, and the Waypoint features.
- The GPS seems to be accurate usually within 5ft, but can go as far as 10ft away.
- DJI Go App records video to your device that you can edit and share in app. Great stuff. User friendly. Intuitive
- For what it is worth, I have over 50 flights and 100 miles of flight time on my Phantom 4 now and I am still on the first set of props.
- Longer flight time: I now get about 20 minutes before I get a low battery warning (30%), as compared to about 14 minutes with the Phantom 3.
- The only thing I would of have like is for the batteries too last longer in terms of flying time.
- Battery life is advertised as 28 minutes, yet real world will get 22-23 minutes tops (with gps off etc) With everything else on like you would actually fly it, count on about 20 minutes of real flying before you should land.
- Drone size is small and easily maneuverable.
- The size of the Phantom 3 Pro also has its advantage. I really hope I get a lot of use out of this, especially with the drone laws may get stricter.
- I'm a little worried about the durability of the gimbal apparatus. It seems a bit fragile, and anything fragile on a drone is bound to be trouble someday.
- Really wish it could become more compact for travel, needs its own carryon size case
- Build quality is amazing. The weight is substantial, it is a solid machine.
- This is a great drone, but the new Mavic Pro does the same and it's a 1/4 of Phantom 4's size... So, although I enjoyed the P4, the Mavic Pro is just unbelievably capable.
- I'm not one to just make lists, good and bad, this device isn't easy to fly, it isn't simple to setup, it isn't small, or light weight.
- No description of size, manufacturer or anything supportive at all.
- Almost everything is adjustable (Speed, tracking, tilting).
- STABILITY! Unlike the anti-shake features with other competitors, DJI's stabilization is better because it is hardware based.
- CONTROL! Remote control / joystick capabilities is much better than touch screen controls.
- Very responsive controls. Hovers in place well even with high winds.
- The return to home functionality is really cool, press and hold the button, and it will fly back home (while making beeping sounds which really set the mood).
- It is not as fast and doesn't have frontal avoidance thing (but you can live without them). If you really want to go fast, then you might want to try a racing copter. The phantoms are for photography.
- Easy to fly: the stabilization in P mode is amazing. The drone doesn't drift and has rock solid shots when hovering. A new pilot can easily pick it up and learn without the nuances and risk of a RC helicopter.
- Fun to fly in sport mode - it goes really fast! This is where you may actually crash it as you want to fly low and fast
- It has registered comming back home speeds up to 86 km / h. Nice camera and a very complete APP which is really easy to use.
- Intelligent flight modes -point of interest is great as you can control camera and distance while it orbits your shot. Way points are smooth so you can focus on getting the shot after setting your points rather than flying the craft. Active track and follow modes are in the bad section.
- I pushed the button to take off and it did, but instead of hovering as it should it immediately flew FULL SPEED to one side.
- 4K video and full Hd video are very nice, and with a little bit of editing it will look amazing. RAW photos are welcomed.
- Gimbal is awesome. Quite impressive, yes.
- Camera is impressive at 4K and it's wide lens.
- It uses LightBridge technology to display back to your monitor as opposed to slower standard WIFI technology.
- DJI app has an arsenal of functions allowing the user to highly customize the operation of the aircraft and controls.
- Propellers are self tightening, but you have to screw them on. New ones are twist and lock, so they are safer (supposedly) and faster to attach, but I see that as a luxury, more than a need, not really a con.
- Needs separate ND filters to shoot video during normal daylight.
- Comes with an SD card that is not recommended for what the camera is designed to do.
- Smooth Cinematic Shots: I shoot in 1080P60FPS and get smooth shots not only high up, but close to the ground. You aren't limited to a camera slider, or crane, and have all the control in your hands to frame the perfect shot.
- It has so many smart features. There is a beginner mode that helped me learn very quickly. Highly recommend!
- This is a ideal drone for the novices or a seasoned drone pilot. so many great features with good DJI support.
- This drone is awesome and has so many amazing features. Follow me, circling, return to home and so much more. We've paired it with the new VR Racing Goggles and it's now my husbands favorite toy.
- The forward obstacle avoidance function and smart return to home are also great features.
