- Nice looking, heavy and big - the real deal.
- This subwoofer is a monster in sound and in size (it's HUGE) and I can't say enough wonderful things about it.
- This thing is huge! Too big considering its performance.
- The only downside may be its size, but with ported subwoofers, size matters.
- My first impression, apart from the enormity and weight, is of a piece that oozes quality and flawless finish, from every angle.
- The aesthetics of the piano gloss are a seamless match for my other speakers and the sub looks perfectly at home
- About 105 pounds boxed by the way. Inside, the Subwoofer, the curved steel grille, not a cloth plastic nothing as usual. This one is made for war!
- Limited finish options (textured black oak and polished black)
- Only thing you need to be aware of is, this beast is heavy!
- This sub woofer is amazing, i listen to a lot of bass heavy music so the upgrade from my 8 inch 100 watt Yamaha to this was much needed. this sub woofer can pump out super low frequencies with ease.
- Its ability to switch frequencies on the fly is what differentiates it from other sub woofers on the market. when listening to heavy bass EDM such as G Jones, Tipper, or Bassnectar it performs wonderfully and can create massive sound pressure in my room with no problem
- Good sub that delivers solid low frequencies.
- Punchy, tight and accurate sound down to about 60hz, Significantly worse from there down.
- The low frequency sound gets very muddy and sloppy at times with certain music. Especially with hip hop/trap/trance/deep house
- But this sub goes so low and plays so loud I can't imagine ever needing more in that department. Plus the lower amount of distortion and decay (thanks to it being sealed) even at the lowest frequencies is a joy to listen to.
- Sound is clean and not muddy. Using it for movies and music. Its output is excellent for its size/dimensions.
- The audio thrown at you is a clear, spatially separated--no splatter, unadulterated astonishing sound that has more head room than one would ever imagine.
- This subwoofer has a monstrous sound. Movies have never sounded like this before
- Very articulate bass with excellent control and dynamics.
- The oak finish also looks fantastic, so if aesthetics are a concern do not worry.
- RCA input quit working after a few weeks.
- The veneer finish is a little cheap, moderately easy to peel at the edges. Knicked the corner when carrying the sub into another room and it peeled back.
- Dual-band parametric equalizer (PEQ)
- 4 adjustable rubberized pointed feet, AC power cable USA configuration IEC.
- It also has more power and settings (including a second band for the PEQ) than my PC13 with the older amp.
- Auto on appears to work well. Packaging was good.
- This subwoofer is absolutely gorgeous and performs as good as it looks. Have it matched with my Klipsch reference series home theater.
- The SB13-Ultra comes with both balanced and unbalanced (RCA) low level inputs / outputs, but no high level inputs / outputs (speaker wire connections).
