What customers say about "Key Specs"
Sennheiser HD 700 Headphone (Jack plug ¼” (6.3 mm) stereo) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
  • So far these usher in a strong mid range while the highs and lows are somewhat flat and less musical but easy to gauge none the less.
  • The Sound stage is its key feature and yields well to classical music and real musical instruments.
  • These handle power well and can take some abuse before distorting and clipping. But does not need that much volume and db's to make it sing unlike my go to Sony headphones.
  • Can be deafening with certain songs due to extremely high treble.
  • Its funny how once the music start to flow out of the drivers all the background noise start to disappear but once the sound becomes low again all the outside noise is extremely loud.
Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional Headphone
  • Smooth, soothing sound quality while still retaining great amount of detail. These headphones will melt your stress away.
  • Fantastic sound, albeit a bit on the darker side. Amazingly natural mids, and poignant lows with controlled highs.
  • They sound good with pretty much every genre, which makes this a very unique headphone.
  • This headphone is what is referred to as "colored" and not truly neutral. There is a mid bass hump and the treble is slightly rolled off.
  • Bass response lacks definition as you would get from some planar magnetic headphones.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Sennheiser HD 700 Headphone (Jack plug ¼” (6.3 mm) stereo) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
  • They're relatively light and have very good spacing in the ear cup cavities which gives them a spacious feel.
  • The 700's are very light for their size, adding greatly to their comfort.
  • It really surprised me. It's half the size & weight of most of the cans it sounds like.
  • Comfort is light around the ears, and the weight is very light, while they tend to slip a little when leaning back.
  • They don't fold and are not good for airplane travel.
Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional Headphone
  • Great design, lightweight, super comfortable and relatively easy to drive.
  • They're very comfortable and, more importantly, weight less than 300 grams.
  • Beautiful, lightweight and sound-sealed better than any headphone in it's weight-class, the cable is very long.
  • Weight is perfect, clamping force is perfect, feel is perfect. I hold them up with one finger and am pleased with the weight.
  • I would not recommend them for portable solution, their huge size, along with the open aire design would make them impractical on the go, for outdoors and public places.

What customers say about "Features"
Sennheiser HD 700 Headphone (Jack plug ¼” (6.3 mm) stereo) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
  • The pads and headband material is very nice and feels soft and compliant. The sound is easy on the ears and work well.
  • The cable on the HD 700s seem more robust than the cable on my HD 650s.
  • The cushion material is super soft and also doesn't get slippery with sweat or facial oil. I guess it's due to rather large size for ear cup.
  • The cord as many others have stated twist and have annoying kinks in it which make it hard winding back up for storage.
  • The plastic throughout the cable fix points and on the cups is not that pretty to look at and feel noticeably "price cutting" in comparison to the HD800's simpler yet better made parts.
Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional Headphone
  • The internal ear cups are silk lined, well padded, and provide a very adequate cushion to the ears. The ear cups are very adequate size and provide a very good listening experience.
  • The Sennheiser HD 650 headphones are open dynamic, well designed, well made with high quality materials and comfortable to wear.
  • The beauty, clarity of the music, the detail and nuances are outstanding. You will hear a level of musical sound that you may not have heard before with lesser quality headphones.
  • Replacement cables are either very mediocre, super expensive, or take eternity to get. The OG cable isn't bad, but it's 10 feet long. Half that would've been fine.
  • Design is functional (and comfortable) but not stylish; they don't fold, not even a little.
