- After our garage was burgled because we forgot to close a garage door, I replaced a fully working old Genie Pro Belt model with the Liftmaster 8550W, so we could get the auto-close feature that I'm happy with on our other lift-master chain drive opener. So far my experience with it is mediocre.
- Cannot believe how quiet these door openers are, luv them- bought 2
- Excellent. Very quiet. Smooth operation. Slows just a bit at the very end of closing so the door doesn't slam.
- I recommend this product. quality and low price. the first door opener I have was a 3850 model. works good but was more noisy.
- Garage door is very quiet now when opening and closing. WI-Fi connections are still to be set.
- At the end of the day, if this thing opened my door quickly and quietly, I would not care anything about the HP rating of the motor. But this unit is not (at least in my view) either quick or quiet, and it certainly does not have a motor that's "similar" to 1.25 or 1 1/4 horsepower.
- People had claimed that this garage door opener was slow. I have not found that to be the case. It is just as fast, or slightly slower than the Genie screwdrive that I had previous to this. I
- All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this garage door opener, and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone else looking for a quality product.
- If you're looking for a garage door opener, stop searching and just buy this one!
- If you want a quiet garage door opener that allows you to open the garage from just about anywhere I recommend getting this device.
- This opener also has great features such as the MyQ capability were I can use my Smart Phone to monitor and operate the door from anywhere!!!.
- My condo association replaced an old Liftmaster with this brand new model with its fancy WiFi and new "security" features.
- It's nearly silent, easy to set up, and the soft open and close feature is nice. Worth a fifth star if it would have worked with my car's control buttons on the mirror.
- I highly recommend this opener. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the features I wasn't expecting like the motion detection activated lights and temperature and clock display on the keypad. I think at this price, this is a great deal!
- Also, the Internet feature (computer/phone) connection is free for the 1st year ( so new they do not yet have a fee) and about a month before end of the 1st year they contact you to see if you wish to continue.
- One feature which we have not used yet is the automatic door closing timer. While I initially though I would use this feature to alleviate any fears about the garage door being left open, I have found that the app works wonderfully for this reason.
- Motion sensor for lights. The wall units have built-in motion sensors that turn on the lights when you walk by. Not a massive thing, but this is a feature my old units didn't have, and it's actually very useful.
- One feature that my wife really loves is the motion sensing light feature. She hated pulling into a dark garage, and as such we had mounted LED night lights around the garage to illuminate any potential tripping hazards.
- The features are just fantastic, it is silent (recommend upgrading the garage door rollers for smoother ride), has all the possible bells and whistles and integrates well with a home automation system.
- The app is awesome. I have it set to auto close at 10pm no matter what. Another cool feature is let's say your 2-3 minutes from the house and you open the garage door.
- I even use the existing safety sensors from the old unit. All I need to replace the main unit and connect the need main switch. Wifi works fine as well!
- Worth a fifth star if it would have worked with my car's control buttons on the mirror.
- The only other difference is the inside control panels are slightly different styles, but they both function identically.
- I love how the wall control pad has a motion sensor time, temperature. It's super cool. I also hooked it up to my smartphone and that's slick as can be.
- Included wifi a great option, allowing one to open remotely (deliveries etc). Does not include belt. Very pleased.
- The Chamberlain Wi-Fi garage door opener is Wi-Fi enabled garage door opener that lets you open and close the garage door from anywhere you have a Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G LTE connection using the MyQ App. The app is available on Android and iOS devices.
- The remote control, and notification features seems to perform very well so far, and this unit is far quieter than my previous screw drive opener. It's actually far quieter than I expected.
- Setting the open/close limits was extremely easy, but I wasn't getting the right sensitivity and was failing the final safety test upon closing the door.
- The Safety sensors work beautifully and eases my mind now that we have a little one or future pets. It was packaged very well upon arrival. I am very pleased with this product.
- Getting all the safety features programmed properly was a breeze as well. Separate instructions are provided for setting up the wireless keypad and it was very simple to set up as well.
