The square design makes adding items very easy to do without falling in the middle hole like round units.
The 12 hour timer is great. 10 trays hold a lot of items.
Shelves are clearly not stainless, it is evident they are plated. The shelves are also bendable and not really flat.
I am very happy with the dehydrator. 10 trays is perfect for me.
I was very disappointed with the plastic trays and the plastic coating inside the dehydrator.

Excalibur 2900ECB Economy Dehydrator

It's holds a lot of food when fully loaded.
Clean up is easy I just take the trays soak them in the sink pull them out and load them in the dishwasher no heat.
It drys efficiently and is very fast. The trays are easy to clean.
Unit cleans up pretty easily, as do trays.
Trays can be removed and the dehydrator used to proof dough or make yogurt- good little multi-tasker in that regard.

The temperature is stable for any given temperature setting - temperature has about 10 degree F variation as the heater element cycles off and on.
Highly recommend the TSM stainless steel dehydrator. It is also very quiet. I was pleasantly surprised with that.
The food dehydrator works pretty well.
Great little unit for those who do not dehydrate a lot of foods at a time!
The rear SS panel, supporting the motor tends to vibrate-rattle when the unit is on.

Excalibur 2900ECB Economy Dehydrator

This model has a great timer so I don't forget them over night.
The timer and “keep warm” options are nice. Easy to clean.
The timer and temp controls are a nice feature and it is super easy to set up and use.
The thermostat is a dial on top of the unit. It is marked with several temperature settings.
The timer is loud and you can't turn off the alarm when the timer is up.

Easy setup. Very clean design.
This dehydrator is made with great quality. The stainless steal is greatly appreciated as is the spacious interior and moveable shelves. The controls are simple and straightforward.
One annoying thing is that the temperature control has no temperature numbers - only five divisions with no description other than LOW at one end and HIGH at the other.
There is a colorful guide next to the timer knob that suggests temperatures for different foods - but that is quite worthless with no theremometer on the unit.
TSM's temperature dial is a little tricky to set.

Temp control is great and the trays are got to the touch, Perfect every time!
The drying in this is very even, the temperature control is nice, and pretty accurate.
I really like the temp controls so I can keep the enzymes alive.
I wish the control dial was in the front instead of the rear of the machine which can be a reach but that is minor.

The fan sounds similar to an air purifier or small floor fan while running.
The fan is mounted in the back so no messy spills get on it.
I haven't had to rotate shelves as every shelf appears to get equal heating.
The unit is very quiet when running with only a small fan noise,= and no rattles, the fan seems to run a low speed to keep it quiet.
The unit is overpriced but I wanted a small stainless steel unit for easy storage.

Easy to work and everything tastes great.
I had my doubts after opening the package, everything is plastic. The unit works great and seems to be pretty solid.
It is light weight and easy to move from my kitchen counter to another room for storage.
This dehydrator works great and I don't have to rotate the trays because the fan is on the side, not the bottom like my old dehydrator.
It is so easy to run, easy to fill, easy to clean. And works extremely well. Great quality and I s a fabulous product.
