STX Dehydra 1200W Commercial/Industrial Grade Stainless Steel Multi-Section 10 Tray Food Dehydrator with 12 Hour Automatic Shut Off Timer and Stainless Steel Drip Tray. This digital food dehydrator is an Extra Large Commercial/Industrial Grade Food and Jerky Dehydrator with 1200 Watts of drying power, 16 Square Feet of drying area on the 10 drying racks and 3,712 Cubic Inches of drying area inside the unit. This dehydrator also features a brilliant 100% Digital Control Panel with a 12 Hour shut off timer. The drying racks are made of 100% 304 Grade Stainless Steel and are "NOT" Chrome Plated like many of the other models (look-alikes) that are offered in the USA.

The Excalibur ECB50B 5 Tray Food Dehydrator features a top-down airflow system that distributes air evenly. The adjustable thermostat (95°F – 165°F) provides different temperatures for drying all types of foods, safely and consistently. The square design stores well and looks nice on any counter-top. Includes 5 drying BPA-free trays, 5 mesh screens, 2 fruit roll sheets, 4 yogurt cups, instruction manual and quick start guide with recipes.

The capacity as you would figure is huge! I do huge batches of jerky at a time and used to need 4 of the circular dehydrators.
Stainless structure is great. Not all trays are stainless.
It's really quiet, and it works beautifully! So far we've made dried apples, pineapples and beef jerky.
It is gigantic, so holds a lot, but it also takes up a lot of space.
We love the fact the trays are also made of stainless steel.

I like the built in thermostat, and I like the way the trays are nice and square, and the massive amount of space that can be utilized.
It's large trays allows you to put 12 pounds of apples in there at one time.
The trays are flat and smooth on the top.
The trays are plastic. From what I researched - the unit never gets hot enough to pose a risk of the plastic releasing chemicals.
Certainly works well, but the strong plastic smell coming from the base is a total deal-breaker.

Love that it has a digital countdown timer so if I had to run out, it shuts itself off to prevent over drying.
The digital timer is nice too and more precise then the timer on the LEM which is like one of those old egg timers.
The digital timer flashes between the time you set it for and how much time has passed which is nice.
The timer can be adjusted at any time during the drying process which is very helpful.
The only issues I have with this unit is that there is a 15 hour timer. I have to keep resetting it to make sure it doesn't shut off on me during long dehydrations.

Very easy to use and lots of tray space. The thermostat is the most important part for food safety.
The thermostat range is 95° to 165° F. Nice little unit. Works very well.
It's fast on drying just about anything, has the adjustable thermostat for varying temperatures depending on what you're dehydrating.
This model does not include a timer, only thermostat.
This unit doesn't have a timer. That's problem.

Temperature settings are accurate to a couple degrees.
Controls are simple and straightforward. It’s very quiet.
The control panel is easy to see and set.
Love the basic time and temp control system.
The only feature I'm not wild about is the temp control which I wish was more precise.

Some people have commented that its loud. Cannot be farther from the truth, this thing is so quiet i can barely hear it running.
It's easy to clean as it all comes apart well.
The shelves are easy to put into the dishwasher and come out perfect, which is very helpful when you've got sticky stuff of them.
It is a huge unit and takes a lot of space which would be ok if it was worth the space it takes up.
The machine have fan problems with them either stopped spinning and buzzing, or just failing to start the fan.

This is a great dehydrator! I use mine all summer for peaches, tomatoes, apricots.
Easy to use and clean and makes great food!
Easy to use and a great investment that will very soon pay for itself.
This is a great product! Yes it's bulky and takes up space but If I ever find myself in need of an additional dehydrator I would buy this again in a heartbeat!
