- The reel is very smooth with a feel of tightness found in reels that cost twice as much.
- I have it spooled with 17 lb test nano fil on a Med / Hvy spinning rod rated for 1/4 - 1 oz lures. Casts amazingly well and I had zero line issue.
- So far these reels seem to be a great bang for the buck. Smooth and a nice drag.
- Super smooth drag that handles big reds and snook flawlessly. Paired it with a Gander Mountain Tournmanet mediam-heavy rod.
- Smooth action, excellent drag.
- Reel is nice, spins freely. No good for ice fishing outside with braid.
- Works great and smooth.
- One of the best reels i ever had.
- No complains, nice and smooth reel, got 4000 size. Quality seems to be good.
- Casting distance is good with no problems.
- What I liked most is the smooth action, super strong and smooth drag! This reel is light and compact but able to handle larger fish in saltwater.
- As always, Shimano reels are great! Very smooth and balanced.
- Light, responsive. I really like the way the drag is easy to set.
- There is a serious problem with the geometry of this this reel.
- My favorite reels. Shimano makes a great product and this was a great price!
- I'm so glad I went with this reel, it's unbelievably smooth, the drag is top notch, the fit and finish is beautiful, and it casts a mile!
- The drag is smooth and easy to dial in fine increments.
- Most $200 reels cant handle that much drag stripping action.
- The reel was used every day in saltwater for a week and it cleaned up very well ,so I guess the protective coating advertised works.
- Tip of reel crank handle is texturized, thick, flat, T-shaped with rounded top. This allows for a very strong grip when placed in the palm between ring finger & middle finger.
- Great value for money, strong enough drag to fish inshore and offshore. Smooth operation, and great a fast line retrieve.
- All I use is Shimano spinning reels and this one is just as good as my stradic for less. I would recommend to anyone, very smooth drag and action.
- Anti-reverse feature is permanent with no switch to manually reverse retrieve.
- The angle is much sharper then other reels. But it does accomplish being more compact. But I would choose comfort over size.
- The construction is solid, with the construction of the bail being the one that impresses me the most.
- I have used this reel for the past three years as my primary false albacore reel and have loved it!
- This product is great to use with croaker.
- Its very smooth and can take severe abuse and misshandeling.
