- Plenty powerful for stock and sensitive aftermarket speakers. Time dimmer function is nice. Navigation is OK
- Responsive screen. Has Carplay. 4 channel dsp does a good job with time alignment on stock systems.
- Really made a difference in the sound quality using the stock Infinity speaker system ( Bought the pioneer sub) versus the stock deck. I am super happy with my choice and the price!
- Unit has very high quality picture and decent sound. Scrolling and pressing is very smooth- almost iPhone like.
- bought this unit to replace the factory navigation unit in me silverado ltz and it simply looks great and compliments all of the audio equipment in my truck nicely.
- If your looking for an in-dash Audio System that has it all, this is the one. Absolutely no problems at all.
- I'm extremely happy with the head unit. It went in my FJ Cruiser with no problems and performs great, so far
- The menu features and main screen can get a little awkward to use and demands some attention even when you're driving. Not real intuitive.
- Evidently these radios have a factory defect and you can find all about it online. Google. Looking for GPS signal.
- The screen is decent, but I don't think it's really that much more responsive or clearer than a resistive panel.
- I love this stereo. Took a minute for my install but thats a Jeep Wrangler for you. The features are outstanding, the screen has a sharp clear picture and the touch is awesome.
- The screen auto-dimming feature works in the background to keep the brightness "just right'. The dimming-effect is so gradual that you really don't notice it happening.
- Screen isn't very crisp--has noticeable bloom/halo around bright spots.
- The screen is shiny and shows every fingerprint. The screen also has a wicked glare if it catches the sun just right. Fortunately there is a tilt-feature so you can usually adjust the screen to keep the sun offset from your viewing angle.
- Dual camera (front and rear) support is nice. Clear screen. Dynamic and custom backgrounds.
- The signals are great and the picture is perfect for reading for someone who is a senior citizen.
- Love the graphics, touch screen and plays with much more clarity/crisper sound than my OEM system.
- Beautiful Radio !! Capacitive touchscreen is a must on a touchscreen radio !!
- Instead it has the usual "auto" that dims the display when the headlights are turned on. But that is problemmatic because there are times when you need your headlights (rain, some roads require it, etc) when ambient lighting is still too bright for a dimmed screen.
- The sound is definitely clearer, but it did take some adjustments with the built in EQ to get it how I liked it... but that was after 7 years of getting used to the JBL out-of-the-box sound. I'd buy it again for sure. The AndroidAuto interface is awesome.
- Professionally installled and I really like the sound and all the features.
- I bought this for the CarPlay, capacitive touch and sound quality. It does not disappoint on any of these. I really like the sound of this deck
- The 13 band graphic EQ can help a lot of people using stock speakers or slight upgrades.
- I'm not impressed at all with the sound quality either. Sounds like a loud stock stereo.
- Sound quality is excellent. GPS works well.
- First, the sound quality. I replaced the OEM system that had been upgraded through a sound processor and AMP with upgraded speakers. The added voltage and cleaned up output to the AMP - I can really tell a difference! Sound is exceptionally clean, crisp and without any noise.
- Sounds fantastic, Apple Carplay works well. Replaced a double din JVC model I had for 5 years. This HU sounds a lot better, I wasn't expecting the sound to be that much better.
- This is a AWESOME head unit. The features, and sound, as well as the look, is VERY nice! I had Geek Squad install this unit.
- This unit plays DVD's, as well as CD's. It also has a micro SD slot, and the slot will play FLAC type files! Which is also a great option.
- I love the fact that I could cancel Satellite Radio is going to save me some money in the long run.
- The radio performs excellently in the truck. The sound is definitely clearer.
- Everything and more! Easy setup with bluetooth, SD card, USB, DVD, CD, great local radio station pickup.
- Tuning the radio to a preferred sound setting is not easy to me after installing the subwoofer with RCA cables and not an LOC but the sound overall is clean.
- Lots of features and interface options, nice equalizer and speaker control features, works well with SiriusXM and HD FM stations and fetaures.
- The HD radio stations don't work outside the city limits
- Had to cut inside of dash for fitment Doesn't transmit "FM" or station to the EVIC cluster leaves a "0" so looks off or broken
- I love my pioneer! This works great and comes with all the cords for USB and aux and GPS antenna and mic and power cord. It is super fast when on the navigation and to call someone. I absolutely love it.
- The navigation feature is much better than the factory navigation. We live near a city that has many divided highways with multiple exits and then right after that there are more exits.
- APPLE CARPLAY: This feature is one of my favorite things about the AVIC-8200 NEX. It connects seamlessly and only has a few issues if the internet is spotty. I love that I can listen to Pandora, iTunes and Audible, but I wish I could also listen to other apps like Amazon Music.
- Documentation is garbage, which is unfortunately par for the course. I haven't figured out yet where having a capacitive touch screen will be of benefit to carplay users. Navigation is only OK for being a flagship deck.
- I wish it was a bit faster, not sure if this a Pioneer or an Apple problem. I using the latest iPhone SE (currently the fastest iPhone as of august 2016).
- huge improvement in sound/image quality! Nav/iPhone (CarPlay) integration works much better. So far I've found no faults with the unit... even fit well in my 2008 Tacoma when Crutchfield's database said it wouldn't!
- it's almost intuitive how to use the head unit as well as the use of Car Play. I've still some learning to do, but given the feature laden capabilities - it's a relatively plug & play and learn on the fly experience if you've the slightest technical skills.
- The latter is more functional and easier to use. The self contained navigation system is the only place I see need for improvement for the interface. Regardless, it works and works well.
- Wanted a Apple Car Play radio for my Pilot. This is an awesome radio.
- The Navigation System doesn't have or will not let me type in my home address, which is extremely disappointing.
