Without hooking up a sub or separate amp its fair audio quality with inboard MOSFET power outputs of about 50 w/ channel but that may be case for most of these types of units.
Sweet unit! Sounds awesome with a good put together system.
The sound and video quality also the speed of it cant complain.

Great head unit love works great love it sounds fantastic an has lost of power.......
After installing JBL speakers in my Ranger, I had BB install this radio and a JBL sub/amp. The sound is much improved, and the radio itself is quick to come alive, the menu setup is intuitive and the touch screen is quick and responsive.
Excellent head unit with Apple Car Play capability. Powerful output - great sound.
everything is smooth, and the musiq tunning features is awesome. i switch from a x2700bt and musiq has more power now, much cleaner.
The bluetooth is now solidly reliable (it never worked well in my stock HU), the sound quality and power is worlds ahead of what it replaced, and the feature set is amazing.

This receiver sounds great and has a very responsive touch screen. I am really enjoying it.
Very bright screen. Easy to figure out.
Screen can be difficult to read during certain driving conditions. Consider getting your windows tinted...it helped in my case.
The buttons displayed along the bottom of the screen in certain modes are too small. Because the unit in my car is angled up a little, you continually knock the hard buttons like 'menu' and 'camera'.
I really wish the screen was anti-glare, and had an auto dimming feature.

Outstanding, crisp sound with lots of options to tweak Equalizers, crossover, blah, blah...If you're a stereo geek, you'll love it!
Pathfinder sounds great again. Previous bose system failed sounded dull. But kenwood definitely improved quality.
This little radio has great sound. Has issues with microphone Bluetooth volume going down but if you get a call just have to turn volume back up.
Installation was easy. Plenty of sound/equalizer customization options. Overall good system.
The stereo is amazing the sound is in very good detail and easy to use. Fast connection to your phone.
Great retrofit. Bluetooth sound could be better but everything else works well.

This radio provides great sound with all the bells and whistles needed for a great listening experience. The source of the music does not matter, am/fm, iPhone, Android, Bluetooth, or Sirius.
Love my radio, does a ton of things...Xm radio, Apple android car play, Bluetooth, hd radio, hd hook up option to stream from phone/device, and back up cam hook ups! You will love this radio !

Being a Pioneer the tuner is also very good switching seamlessly from digital to analog for those fringe stations
It also doesn’t default to a preset station but instead goes to one that wasn’t set previously. But being able to present stations in other cities with the multiple fm options is great.
Great Car Radio, looks and sounds great with the HD Radio. It's nice seeing the Album Cover Art when the radio station sends the data.
SirisXM ready, HD FM as avaialbe in your area and of course the interface to your iPhone, bluetooth for music and phone, USB interface for the other features, messaging, Siri, maps, etc.
ATL has a large number of radio stations and I like having 18 FM presets.

Superb microphone for in-car calls, especially at highway speeds.
Android Auto works great! So far, they seem to have fixed some of the complaints on earlier/other models.
Boot up is fast and GPS acquisition is remarkably quick with my antenna being placed on the driver's side dash.
The sound quality playing spotify through android auto is massively better than through bluetooth, and Android Auto and Carplay are great and continue to improve.
One the original software, there is a glitch with the clock resetting to factory default EVERYTIME you power up...Very annoying! However, Kenwood issued a firmware update in August 2016 that I just applied and that seems to have solved that problem.

Awesome radio that allows me to see my maps on the screen without paying for navigation. Just by connecting my phone.
The radio has alot of functions and is compatible with both android and apple.
This radio is fantastic! On screen controls, even came with a little remote. It uses my iPhone settings and Siri for music and the GPS for mPs so it's all very compact.
It takes some getting used to, but is very intuitive and the Apple CarPlay is the best!! Looks great too and fits perfectly in the dash!!
It's nice to use with carplay on my iPhone. Probably the only downfall is how long it takes to boot up when you start the car.
