What customers say about "Key Specs"
Zhiyun Crane 2 Follow Focus 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal
  • I chose the gimbal because the set up/ balancing is seriously as fast as it is advertised, also it can handle more weight.
  • The 7 pounds is such a heavy load that Ive had lights, mics and other items attached to it and it still did its job.
  • The flow of the gimbal makes all my shots smooth and steady and the focus is awesome.
  • I'm using it with the 5d Mark IV + Sigma ART 50 1.4. It balances that set up with ease. I also have the camera controller cable connected to use the follow focus wheel and it is really well implemented.
  • I didn't find the software good enough, it takes lots of try and error to make things work, also my camera 6D depletes so fast with the crane 2.
  • The Android app does not work and without it you lose a lot of the features and the ability to calibrate it. If you look at the apps rating on Google play it is only rated 2.1.
Zhiyun Crane V2 3-Axis Brushless Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer
  • Balancing is no harder than other gimbals. Make sure you read the instructions and balance the axis in the correct order.
  • I'm using this with a Nikon D5500, 35mm prime lens and a quick release plate and its perfect. I cant put anything more on it tho due to the weight restraints but the functionality of the crane is great.
  • For the money, you won't find a better 3-axis gimbal. Took me all of 15 minutes to learn... and now only takes about 2 minutes to setup at gigs.
  • Absolutely loved the Zhiyun Crane V2 for my videography. This was my first gimbal, and it really made up all the shortcomings of my Sony a6300 and perfectly stabilized all my shots while I was walking.
  • If you're looking for magic stabilization and you know very little about stabilizers, you may be disappointed in that it can't magically stabilize your footage. When you learn to use it, it provides excellent stabilization, but your movements still factor into the effectiveness of the system.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Zhiyun Crane 2 Follow Focus 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal
  • It is a perfect gimbal for my needs, very transportable and small without causing lots of attention to yourself when filming.
  • Wow, Zhiyun set the bar high with this gimbal. I really love how it feels and how well made it is.
  • It has never let me down. This is such a solid item.
  • It's light enough for travell with.
Zhiyun Crane V2 3-Axis Brushless Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer
  • It is lighters than you think.
  • Heavy duty hard case and high quality construction.
  • This is a very smooth gimbal. It's very solid so expect a nice workout
  • Very sturdy, and has even survived some un-intentional misuse by a few of my crew members. It is able to hold my T3i, T6s and G7 + lenses without issue.
  • The crane is sturdy and is mostly metal. Be careful carrying it with one hand especially if you do not have a strong forearm and grip.
  • I would say that the weight specs are definitely over rated. When I balance my crane at around 1400 grams it still has a hard time holding position in the harder angles.

What customers say about "Features"
Zhiyun Crane 2 Follow Focus 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal
  • Battery life is amazing.
  • The batteries last forever and you can add a lot of weight to this small gimbal.
  • I have to say that this is the best gimbal I ever had. Can carry the weight of my A7SII with SmallRig cage! I don't have to remove the cage everytime I use this gimbal.
  • I'm running HDMI out to the Black Magic Video Assist monitor/recorder which I have mounted to a hot shoe that I used the 1/4" socket on the bottom of the Crane handle to mount. Works flawlessly.
  • You also get super tired from holding it with one hand as opposed to having handles on a gimbal.
  • At first it was difficult to get the perfect settings to make your shot as smooth as possible.
Zhiyun Crane V2 3-Axis Brushless Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer

  • I loved how I was able to download the Zhiyun app, control the crane remotely as it sat on a tripod, and make great stable, panning shots. Amazing gimbal and worth every penny.
  • The companion app (iOS/Android) is a great addition as well.
  • Battery life is superb, very easy to use and even easier to calibrate once you get the jist of how its axis work.
  • No screen indicator.
  • No battery life indicator (it last 5-6 hours though)
  • Very complicated , Hard to use and setup took me 3 days with searching youtube and google on how to set it up still facing problems .
