- Been using this for a few months now. Took a little bit to get it setup just right, but that's how it goes with these type of stabilizers. For the price of this, you cannot beat it.
- But it works really well as a stabilizer for a stripped down minimal light weight rig without all your additional camera accesories
- From the very first time you get it balanced the shots are superb. It is pretty mind blowing how professional your shots look even with practically no experience using a stabilizer.
- Works! Works well actually. Be sure to use the thing that clamps onto a desk to hold the handle while your balancing the flycam, this saves your arm.
- Was only able to use at one event. I've used other types of Steadycams and the parts for this Flycam came apart easily.
- It does improve video steadyness.
- On the fly spins and pans is great for any fast-paced video you are trying to create.
- Well, not too hard to balance, even with heavier lenses, Canon 17-40F4.0 and 5D-MarkIII, I have 4 weights only and thinking of rebalancing it to 2 weights total (out of I think 12 it came with). Very smooth recording, a little heavy setup, not a Glidecam.
- It works well, the problem is that the instructions are no helpful, so plan on using third party sources to teach you how to use it.
- t's quite difficult (almost impossible) to use for shots where you need to hold the camera lower than your shoulders, which most of our shots are.
- This thing has some weight to it and you would not be able to carry it for too long, I'd give you about 15 mins. max.
- Very good product.Well made. But the weight plus my camera made it difficult for me.I must also note that I do have a disability pertaining to my hips.
- Love this purchase! Seriously a great bargain. construction is solid. comes with more than enough weights.
- The aluminium construction makes Flycam HD-3000 a robust gear that can withstand years of use.
- This is the same size as the Glide Cam HD 2000 so its a little misleading. Most importantly I have had a screw fall off and I cant fix it! Just bought this thing.
- Built with high quality material, this tool feels nice in the hand.
- This thing is pure quality. Nearly 100% of it is solid metal, and I appreciate that it is made in the USA unlike nearly everything else I've ever bought from amazon.
- Overall it is very light, sturdy, and I foresee years of use out of it.
- The unit feels sturdy and has few plastic pieces which gives me the confidence it will last through wear-and-tear.
- Works great. Only have to balance it once before a event then it is set to go. Very sturdy and well made
- It has a nice case, and I am glad it comes with all the weights it does
- The weights on the bottom can slide farther from the stem to reduce how it reacts to rotation. This is a bit overkill "duty" wise for a regular dslr, you will barely use any of the weights.
- The build quality is better than expected and I'm using it for every video shoot I do now. I recommend replacing the foam grip with a better one. I now use a left hand fitted bicycle handle grip that works perfect.
- It's good and works well. Balancing was not an issue, but I do wish that it had a slightly heavier weight tolerance.
- The grip also slides around a little to freely, an easy tape fix but still lame to have to tape up brand new gear. Using a Canon 7D. I'm sad to say that I regret my purchase.
- It's relatively quick to calibrate.
- Fantastic stabilizer. The ability to adjust the weights makes fine tuning the balance incredibly easy.
- Right out of the box the HD-2000 was very easy to assemble without requiring hand tool, just put some parts together rotate them and hand tighten.
- You have to readjust weight if you add or take parts off your rig, such as changing lenses, adding or removing an eternal mic, etc. This can be time-consuming.
- It feels awkward and requires some getting used to before you can pull off what it is intended for.
