What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Bosch ROS65VC Random Orbit Sander/Polisher
- On the heavy side, but I count this as an advantage because it denotes superior build and helps with work.
- It has a very long power cord and is fairly light in weight.
- The balance of the sander is very good as well, with the majority of the weight at the bottom near the pad.
- While this is bigger than a palm-type sander, it isn't a huge, bulky, heavy sander and it feels light during use.
- It is a little heavy to use vertically.
Festool RO 90 DX Rotex Multi-Mode Sander
- This much smaller machine does things as well as the larger machine but in a much smaller size allowing for high production with less fatigue.
- The RO 90 is well made, and the controls seem upgraded to the RO150 but I because it so heavy and bulky for the head size, I'd prefer to use a ETS 125.
- This is prob. the baddest sander of its size on the market.
- I do like the small size, that is essential for me.
- I debated for a long time before buying this. I thought the small size would make it less useful. Wrong.

What customers say about "Features"
Bosch ROS65VC Random Orbit Sander/Polisher
- Runs well, performs well. Vibration control works and works well.
- Comes with vacuum adapter, hex wrench and you can take it from a six inch to a five inch disc.
- Sturdy and comfortable grip and handle, significantly decreased vibration and it’s much quieter than my Porter Cable 5”.
- The built-in dust collection filter seems adequate enough and (though I haven’t measured) when connected to a dust extractor, I seem to have a smaller layer of new dust on surrounding tools.
- Powerful motor for fast stock removal; greatly reduced vibration, especially at high speed; improved grip between the pad and disks; well designed dust collection port.
- A little on the dusty side (again though I think this is more due to my choice of discs with the added pad as the disc alone should allow more dust to be collected versus less.
- Uncontrollable. At higher speeds it doesn’t just want to walk across the workpiece, it wants to run; at lower speeds it trudges with a force that’s hard to combat.
- The workpiece itself needs to be forcibly immobilized with wedges or clamps (a non-slip sanding mat won’t do) and an uncomfortable amount of pressure needs to be applied (as in, ‘oh no, I’m leaving a rut’).
Festool RO 90 DX Rotex Multi-Mode Sander
- I love this Rotex sander, it makes me wonder why I did not buy one of these earlier. I can handle the rough sanding features I need in a belt sander or fine sanding.
- The joy of sanding. Seriously. Never thought I would look forward to sanding, but with my Festool RO DX, I feel a little zen. The tool is compact and powerful.
- Unbieleveable power in a small package, this thing will eat through walnut, oak, or whatever you throw at it.
- It is very powerful and fast. I often find myself turning down the speed adjustment so I don't eat away too much wood.
- The speed control is another option this is great, you cand dial in just where you need to be. More festoon products will be in my future.
