About the Product
With a full tang, 420HC steel blade and rubberized diamond-texture grip, this is a knife you can bet your life on. The MOLLE-compatible multi-mount sheath system offers optimal customization, keeping your knife ever at the ready in combat situations.
Design cues for the new Prodigy were inspired by the award-winning LMF II, another knife engineered by Gerber's Jeff Freeman. The Prodigy is much smaller (9.75" overall length), but it certainly packs as much punch as its predecessor.

What customers say about "Blade"
Gerber StrongArm 420 High Carbon Stainless Steel Fixed Blade Survival Tactical Knife
- The blade also came from the factory with a beautifully, symmetrically ground and very sharp edge!
- Love how the blade looks and how well it's balanced.
- The blade is so thick I feel like I could baton through concrete with it.
- Very heavy and thick blade, though if you want a very tough knife, it will probably serve you well.
- The blade is very tough & thick. Extremely comfortable in the hand and promotes confidence.
GerberGear Prodigy (22-41121) Survival Knife, Serrated Edge, Black
- It has been through a rough time everywhere and nothing seems to dull the blade.
- The serrated edges have been very handy for multiple uses including cutting open an old leather saddle that was stuck between very heavy storage cabinets.
- Great overall quality and construction, Good price point, Sharp blade that holds and edge and a nice quality sheath.
- Outstanding in every way, from the sheath to the thick, sharp-edged back of that handsome and razor sharp edge, this knife cannot be bested for value.
- I didn't find any flaws. The blade, and the grind, is straight. The handle is very solid.
