What customers say about "Key Specs"
Meze Audio 99 Classics Over-ear headphones
- The sound is just south of neutral with excellent dynamics and a boatload of details.
- I couldn't believe sound separation voice clarity and soundstage.everyone should experience these headphones.
- Nice laid back sound signature with a slight bass boost without overpowering the mids or highs.
- The sound signature isn’t the one I wanted. The highs don’t have that airy quality I like.
- The only negative I've seen is that they're so sensitive, that it's easy to send them too much power.
Meze Audio 99 Neo Over-ear headphones
- Base is very accented. Base is a little boomy to be honest. EQ that out, and you're golden.
- Very clear and detailed sound to my ears, I feel like I can hear each of the strings in a guitar vibrate and each of the fingers sticking each string.
- Noise isolation is pretty good for this type of headphones.
- Fantastic overall sound. The bass is the standout. It's punchy, with well-defined transients and has impact without being "boomy".
- Bass is too boomy in these headphones. Also highs little recessed.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Meze Audio 99 Classics Over-ear headphones
- These are the first headphones I’ve had in a long time that are closed, lightweight, and require no additional amplification.
- The workmanship is admirable and the aesthetics are unquestionably gorgeous. The final product is extremely lightweight and durable.
- Lovely design. Looks beautiful in person. They are very light. More than comfortable when worn.
- The whole headphones is so light yet the sound is heavily present.
- They are too small in my opinion and put too much pressure on your ears, especially the top of your ears.
Meze Audio 99 Neo Over-ear headphones
- Build quality is top notch, I mean top of tops. This thing is an elegant, light tank.
- Headphones are super light and I can't feel them on my head.
- They're comfortable, light, have good isolation from outside sound, and look stylish.
- The best I've ever had. very comfortable, flawless construction, great design.
- They are a bit small and don't feel luxurious in the way some other brands' earpads might feel.

What customers say about "Features"
Meze Audio 99 Classics Over-ear headphones
- When I put these headphones on the first time, I was thrilled. They did not require me to fiddle with them to get them to fit nicely around my head.
- They're comfortable for 8+hour days, even with glasses with thick frames.
- The ability to plug in different lengths of cable is pretty handy.
- The newest earpads are very spacious and soft and the self-adjusting headband is fabulous. No faults here.
- The only negative to these headphones is that they use two, mono 3.5mm plugs instead of a single stereo 3.5mm.
Meze Audio 99 Neo Over-ear headphones
- Earpads are very nice, not too soft, hold their shape but very comfy.
- Headband, while not very much padded, very comfy and don't pressure.
- Kevlar cable is great as it very durable and long enough to any king of use.
- The comfort and look of them is obviously some of the main focal points to these cans.
- When the metal part vibrates due to getting struck/rubbed against, or simply moving your head too much creates a resonance that's a bit annoying.
